I think the action was officiated rather differently (with no-calls weighted heavily in favor of the Cavs) than games 1-3, but whether that's just typical of post season home court officiating or not, it's a fix nonetheless. Officiating is most often fixed to favor the home team. _________________ “These GOAT discussions are fun distractions while sitting around waiting for the pizza to be served.”

The team that lost probably was the benefactor of the strangest call, hard to say it was fixed against them. The conspiracy would have to be so large that it not being reported to the media would be virtually impossible. And the damage to the league would be devastating. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I don't believe in coincidences. Superstar calls exist to slant things towards those individuals and teams. This is accepted. I believe officials call games that slant towards a certain result as well.
There are 2-3 game stretches where Lebron doesn't get four foul calls on him, total. Suddenly there were four called on him in a half during a game in the Boston series. If that happens in a game that the Cavs really need, then I'll believe the league is "clean." _________________ Smrek 2, Nevitt 1, Barkley 0 |

The warriors stand to make $22 million more by hosting game 5, hence why kerr, bob myers, and Joe Jacob have been mute on the subject.
You can bet your bottom dollar if it was game 7 they would demand an investigation.
I won't say the NBA fixed it but If you didn't think at least one ref was trying to shift an advantage to one side more than the other you truly are delusional. _________________ Creatures crawl in search of blood, To terrorize y'alls neighborhood. |

Curry, Klay, and Dray played like trash.
GSW got more freethrows.
Dray was saved from ejection.
LeBron and Kyrie both played on another level. |
A lot of great points being made.
Dray wasn't saved, they gave the tech to the wrong person. Watching live, the misunderstanding was clear.
GSW scored 116 points. I know CLE's 3s were falling, my point was how conveniently the game slowed for CLE when their best players was fatigued down the stretch of the early games of the series.
That and 22 FTA for 1 team in 1 quarter doesn't seem to JUST be "home-cooking"
As an LAL fan if I saw that done in our favor I'd see it the same, although my reaction would be different haha _________________ 1. Jordan

I fail to see how anyone could have "fixed" things such that Cleveland shot 24 of 45 on 3-pointers. |

Sorry but with no dog in the fight I just don't see a "fix". The most fishy part of the game was the tech/ non tech on Draymond /Kerr. And btw Draymond gets a lot more leeway with his (bleep) with the refs than most other players in the league. Warrior fans wanted 16/0 bad. And they're just mad ONCE AGAIN Klay and Steph didn't show up In Cle... |

No because I don't want to be in the same side as those 2002 Kings fans.......
Besides, the chances of the Cavs making that many 3's again just to blow out the Warriors are close to nil..... |

Does anyone want to see Mike Callahan as the lead official in another NBA Finals game ever?

Game 4 reminded me like the Detroit series in 2k4. The aggressive team got ALL the calls. And then when the other team tried to be aggressive and fight back, then refs got out the whistles.
Almost identical to the Detroit series. _________________ Dominating every day. |

The NBA doesn't need to directly fix games, they can let psychology do it for them. I don't believe the refs get any orders or mandate from their bosses, but subconsciously, they know Cleveland is down 0-3, and they know they're in Cleveland. |
That's the same way I feel about it and I felt that way even before that Donut guy said that's how it happens.
No need to fix games and risk jail time, you just influence games by erring on the side of least consequence. When a team is facing elimination, or if a favorite is about to be upset, they have to think about whether or not that call will hold up to the scrutiny. |

Yup. Game 6 was a make up game.
Anyways, each additional game in the finals can add $11M to BRI, which ends up raising the salary cap. Plenty of motivation to push it to 6. |
