Current GSW, LeBron's HEAT teams, the Pierce/Allen/KG Celtics, 2003-2004 Lakers, current Cavs.

That Lakers team was not a Super Team. Payton and Malone were in their 16th and 19th seasons, respectively.

It's hard because the Heat and Celtics were not consistent, but if I take the single best season for each of them.

1. Warriors
2. Celtics
3. Heat
4. Cavaliers
5. Lakers

I'd have to say:
Warriors
Heat
Celtics
Lakers
Cavs

I get that Payton and Malone were really old, but we still had prime Kobe and prime Shaq, two top 10 players of all time. That alone makes me put them ahead of the current Cavs.

this was my immediate thoughts. Definitely not a super team in that sense.

Warriors*
Celtics
Heat*
Cavs*

* for inorganically created super teams

I feel like the 07-08 Celtics would have beaten the second Miami championship team (and possibly also the first) in a seven game series. LeBron and Wade would both have trouble against the zone and that Celtics team just had much better chemistry despite having inferior stars.

which is why I ranked them above the Heat. There's only one ball to go around and the Heat's big 3 were not off the ball players. And then the Celtics had a much better defense.
