I guess Steph/Klay "choked" their ways into winning the first one. |
Curry had a (bleep) finals 2 years in a row. Couldn't even get the Finals MVP. As of right now, Curry's an overrated Finals choker. Lets see if that changes for the rubber match. |
Where did the narrative Curry had bad finals two years in a row come from? In 2015, he had a great finals performance, with one horrible performance in game two. Every other game he was great, but somehow that one game dominates the narrative. Iggy got the finals MVP, but Curry was the focus of that team and created the vast majority of their offense by massively warping Cleveland's defense.
2016 his finals wasn't great by the standard he set for himself with his absolutely insane regular season performance, but he had an injured MCL and still any other guard would have been very happy to have had the numbers he put up.
And of course, his finals performance this season speaks for itself. He nearly averaged a triple double while scoring 27 a game on tremendous efficiency. Durant rightly won finals MVP, but Steph was right there with him. |

narratives these days are not reliable. just watch the full game video. Upon rewatches, i bet draymond moves up in these finals. the guy does everything. Livingston does well too, that guy does a ton for that team. Iggy and Kawhi got mvp for "shocking" people with how effective they did against lebron. Although, I think lebron is not that hard to guard, it depends on what the officials do. I'll never forget that one time he got criticized when he avoided taking tony parker 1on1. |

Loud mouth definitely flip-flopped from his original pick. _________________ Smrek 2, Nevitt 1, Barkley 0 |
