Floyd, 1994
Where? I saw Pink Floyd at the Hollywood Bowl in hmm, 2005 or so? Amazing.
Vancouver, bc. And no, you didn't see Floyd in 2005. At least not live.
I can't remember the year. Maybe it was 2006. I went with my parents. They played the entire Dark Side of the Moon album.
Floyd never toured again after 94. You might have seen Roger waters or Gilmour. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Way too tough to call, but if I had to pick one, it'd probably be Pink Floyd's original tour of "The Wall" in 1980 at the Sports Arena. Sat 13th row, center. It was pretty spectacular.
I might've been next to you. (Although I have no memory of the exact row I was in.)
I've seen Springsteen live some 30 times, so everything else is competing for spot #31 on my list.
Springsteen ranks number 2 on my list.
The Boss is indeed one hell of live performer. I wasn't really a big fan of his music through the years and I always heard people say how he was great in concert and I was like, "yeah, yeah, sure he is". My wife finally took me a Springsteen concert after we started dating 20 years ago and I was amazed by how true the reviews were. But he doesn't really hit my top list. But I can see how if you are a big fan of the music he would definitely be your hands down number one. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I had just turned 15 and I WON tickets (from KNAC) to see the greatest space rock band of all time playing their greatest album!
It even included a bus ride from the KNAC radio station (in Long Beach) to the Santa Monica Civic.
The band was named Hawkwind (never heard of them? - well they have been together almost 50 years and have about 40-something albums out).
They were playing the entire set from their Space Ritual album!
The band was awesome and included Lemmy (on Bass), Nik Turner, Michael Moorcock (spoken words) and even had a guy in the band that did nothing but the Lights - super advanced lightning!
Needless to say, the music was spaced-out, awesome, hard-driving and relentless, not terribly unlike their countrymen Black Sabbath & Pink Floyd!
Here is a link to the album:
Oh and I saved the best for last: they had a topless dancer, yep, no lie, her name was Stacia and if you search on youtube for "hawkwind stacia dancing" you cab check her out for yourself...
Anyway, quite possible the best concert I ever went to and the first concert I ever went to...! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

Kid Cudi. Club Nokia at LA Live back in '09.
Vibe was amazing. Cudder was riding the wave of his debut mixtape. Max occupancy in that place was 2000. Probably half that many people there. Most on the top floor. But I was on ground level with a couple 100 people
Saw him years later at Nokia Theatre. Filled up the 7k+ capacity. It was still a great show. All of his music is great concert type music. But I missed the more personal setting from years past. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

The eagles reunion tour was special, as was Fleetwood Mac (kissed Stevie nicks on the lips, no lie). _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

You know you can't say something like that and not give us a bit more to the story...
1991 iirc, Gorge Ampitheater in Washington State (beautiful spot on the Columbia river). Her birthday. We arrive early, hanging out drinking beers. Look up and see her wandering among the crowd. She heads our way. I smile and say happy birthday. She lights up, seems to have had a couple. I ask if anyone has given her a birthday kiss. She says no. I ask if I can, she agrees, I do. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
I saw Rage Against The Machine in 92, same year de 1st album came out. Zack was a "very angry man" then. It was a mind-blowing experience.
Super Angry!
Absolutely pissed off.
The first Rage album to me is one of the greatest in hard rock history. I like it better for instance than any Metallica album and it is right up there with Appetite For Destruction by GNR. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

What a great story, too bad it was pre-cellies for the selfie!
I have been to that Venue, it is fantastic.
Fleetwood Mask Tusk Tour at the LA Forum was my first rock concert ever as a young dude. Great show.
My best concert ever though was probably the Grateful Dead at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, July 14th, 1985. I saw The Dead perform A LOT of times but that one was very memorable. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny
That was a great show Lanny it was the same weekend of Live Aid. I remeber everyone calling it Dead Aid. Ventura County Fair Grounds was a great venue, especially if you had a Harley. I camped out there with some friends but slipped over to the Holiday Inn to watch Live Aid with some friends. To make things interesting there was also a gospel singers convention at the hotel. Made for an interesting dynamic for the weekend. I too have been to countless Dead shows but yeah that was a memorable weekend.
I can't really say my favorite musical shows there were so many. That Allman Brothers last show at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium in August 1971 before Duane's death. Yes and Emerson Lake and Palmer on the same bill was pretty incredible circa 1973. Also so many Dead shows to choose from. One of my favorite places was the old Golden Bear in HB. Saw Commander Cody right up front Paul Butterfield too. Little Feat at Richard's sometime 1973 was pretty amazing.
I loved the Golden Bear, I saw Alarm there, I saw Camel there, also saw Randy Hansen's Machine Gun (A Hendrix clone) who really tore it up. _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
