DLo's exit interview. Just listen to the first 15 seconds.

Points of emphasis by Lakers:
1. Leadership
2. Consistency
3. Changing body

He's done #3! Numbers 2 and 1 coming?

How do you improve "leadership" in the offseason? Like go to TED talks or enroll at Stanford to complete a business leadership course?

"I don't have specifics for you, but, uhm. I know."
Btw, if you actually listen to more than just the 11 seconds he'll give you some clues.

You also can't really improve game-to-game consistency during the off-season either.

Ball is going to help lift the cloud over d lo, by making him one of the most promising young scorers.....I think the ask and expectations were a bit to high for d lo...but when Ball is helping D lo put up strong consistent scoring numbers he's going to get a lot of love

Since he has done #3 and has been working all off season at the facility, a little of that can also be #1.

If he keeps at #3 and ends up looking like Bane, maybe #1 will come naturally.

Listening to the video, you not only know he's young. But a lot of this is new to him. Year 3, along with his new found muscles, will be awesome for him.

No question. From what we've seen, kids been putting in work since the season ended.

Agreed. The expectations for a 19 year old were way high. Wall, Harden, Curry ect, it took those guys years to break out.

If DLO works hard, he can be up there with those guys.

I think DLO would have had a breakout year this coming year on his own. However, I also believe that playing next to a player like Ball will be an advantage.

Think about this: the other guards he's had to play next to the last couple of years: Kobe, JC, Nick Young, Lou.

What do those guys have in common? And what do those guys lack that Ball has?

DLO w/Ball, discussed ad naseum.

DLO w/Jax, a little rougher, b/c Ingram/Jules/Jax will be a terrible shooting trio in 2017-18 (maybe they improve over time). However, Jax would help defensively and also has ball handling skills.

I think the D'Lonzo pairing is better, but there are some things Jax can bring too.

Russell shot 38% on pullup 3s after the ASB. I think his catch & shoot percentage, especially if he has Lonzo getting him the ball, will improve naturally. If he can consistently shoot ~36-38% on pullup 3s, he'll have a breakout year next year IMO.

When he was roasting teams in preseason with pullup 3s (granted they soft hedging on him for some reason) he was looking like a bonafide star. Maybe even a future superstar.

I really hope he's been working on these.

Yes. I truly believe if we get Ball he wll make life so much easier for Dlo that he may average 20+ppg on 56+ TS% next season. No more pressure of having to get everyone else involved and Ball has a special ability find the open man.

His jumper was like wack-a-mole. Money on catch & shoots, struggling on pull-ups prior to the break, and vice versa afterward. It's there, he just needs to put it all together.
