-says poster who joined LG in 2017 (so I guess we'll have to take your word for it).

And I'll be 3 for 3 when Lebron stays. You'll see.

So you were right about him leaving, but you'll be right about him staying?

Ok.

And literally no way for us to verify that you were right.

If the warrior stay together and the Cavs don't get any better next year, the Lakers might actually be LeBron's best opportunity to win going forward. It will all depend on how our young players look next season, and magics ability to clear enough cap space for both George and LeBron.

On his radio show yesterday, Jalen Rose was adamant that there was NO way LeBron was going to the Clippers. He said he knows some things that he's not going to share - but said LeBron would play in Cleveland next year. He said when LeBron leaves Cleveland, it will be to join the Lakers because LeBron wants to own an NBA team after he retires - he could finish his career with the Lakers with an under-the-table agreement that he would have the opportunity to buy a % of the Lakers organization.

2018 will be another story.
Until then, this is just a speculation.
By then I don't think either team will be interested in Lebron.
Or vice versa. Lebron may not be interested in joining either.

If rumors are to be believe in this age of Fake News, they turned down The Logo's desire to have some ownership of the Lakers

Lebron wants to team up with all his old friends before he retires. His best bet would be the Clippers. They could sign Wade, Melo, Lebron and have CP3 already on the roster.

With the Logo + what I can only imagine is going to be a very impressive, brand new arena in Inglewood (there's something very wrong about that, but that's a whole 'nother conversation), LAC is going to be major competitors for, not only (potentially) LBJ, but all future FAs thinking about playing in LA.

I'm fully behind Magic/Rob, but if they didn't have big enough pressure on themselves in the first place for simply being the new decision-makers for the Lakers, now they have even more pressure with a much more attractive, Jerry West-lead LAC in town with a billionaire owner who seems to be having a lot of fun doing this. Chances are, their pitches to potential FAs is going to be a tad bit persuasive.

Needless to say, Buck and R-Lowe need to nail this draft.

They need to nail all their future moves.

Good luck, homies!

Competition is always good.

Magic/Rob/Ryan/Jeanie always have the pressure to win rings

Will The Logo help Rivers (the Head of Basketball Operations/GM) make better decisions, maybe.

Given the severe CAP restrictions the Clips will have, if they resign Blake and CP3 - along with no draft choices - it will be interesting to see how The Logo can adjust the Clips from this point on with two uber talented players (CP3/Blake) that have a track record of not producing at the end of critical games (under the control of River - the HC).

It would be great to have The Logo with the Lakers, but Jeanie must have a reason(s) beyond what was stated and it is good that she is "All In" on the skills of Magic/Rob/Ryan.

Despite not having the star power of other young teams like the TWolves and 76ers (http://thesixersense.com/2017/03/29/philadelphia-76ers-will-back-2017-2018-season/), Lakers have a talented core. One wonders if Jeanie feels that The Logo would not be the best fit to draft the right players or develop the young core since they are not yet a place where superstar FAs would want to come.

Weak sauce topic.

I'm not seeing what would attract LeBron to the Lakers at all, at least not at that point in time. There's ten teams in the league with equal or better position to make multiple runs for championships (i.e., each has better talent), most of them better established towards making runs than our Purple and Gold. He ain't coming here unless something big changes around here - and fast.

What would attract him is that his family lives here now and he has business in L.A. Plus he can close his career out saving a struggling Lakers franchise and bring them back to glory, much in the way he redeemed Cleveland. Yes, he might have an easier time winning with Towns and Wiggins, but he'd have to live in the Twin Cities and continue to be away from his kids most of the year. He can literally retire now and be considered a top 5 all time player, so he can make decisions not based entirely on rings now.

You're also forgetting there is a non-zero chance George winds up here, so it isn't like Lebron would be going to a talentless team (and I presume any move here is contingent on the Lakers getting George....).

Yeah, kinda like when Karl Malone was a Laker. Just seemed wrong. Plus Karl was old and got injured too, just like Lebron probably will if the Lakers sign him. Say hello to the Lebron Farewell Tour!

Several NBA players have houses in LA with no plans to play here.

Prefer? I would think the Lakers because we have younger legs that can do more of the up and down work which could prolong LBJ's career. I just don't think LBJ prefers the western conference. As long as he stays in the East, he's going have a better shot at getting to the finals, not necessarily winning the finals...but getting there.
