3. Magic hook in the finals ( would be higher but i was only 7, Voltron was still a close second to the Lakers)

2. Kobe lob to Shaq to seal the deal on Portland

1. Big Shot Rob- with an assist from Vlade in 2002

Hmm. Didn't the Kobe to Shaq lob just tie up the game or give us our first lead of the quarter? Maybe my memory is fuzzy.

I'd like to add in:

Kareem's baseline skyhook to seal the 1985 Finals at Boston Garden. Cap's jubilation as he runs down the court is priceless.

Kobe's 3 over Theo Ratliff at Portland in 2004 to win the Pacific Division.

Horry!!!!! FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!

I attended this game by myself on a cheap ticket. I was standing (as everyone was) in literally the top row of Staples behind Horry in a direct line when the ball was deflected to him by the hand of Vlade and he made it.

It was good all the way, I was just worried about the time.

I was at work during this game. Midway though the third quarter they wheeled the tv out to the working area because the management got sick of people disappearing for 10 minutes at a time. By the end all of the staff and customers were watching Rob's shot go through. Once that shot ripped the net you had long time co-workers and complete strangers along with long time customers were jumping into each other's arms and celebrating. Legit one of my happiest moments in life.

Bryant... to SHAQ!
by far my favorite. The official moment that gave birth to the Lakers 3 peat. I was not old enough to experience the Laker's previous championships but at that very moment I knew that the Lakers finally got over the hump to get a championship after I seen them get destroyed out of the playoffs so many years before that.

Second favorite was .4 shot. Didnt lead to a championship but the experience was so memorable living in that moment. Was in my college 4 bedroom 8 roommate apartment watching the game thinking it was all over until Fisher hit that, went crazy, ran out to our apt balcony and celebrated with like a dozen other apartments who spontaneously ran out to their balcony as well.

Just because everybody has already mentioned the big shots, and for the purpose of not repeating them, one of my favorite Kobe shots:

I think this really goes to show how much skill Kobe had and how blessed we were to watch him on a nightly basis. This shot proves that the man was truly unguardable in his prime, we won't be seeing anything like this for a long long time. Beautiful

Everybody that plays real basketball knows that how incredible that turnaround three point jumper. I mean, dank, you have to have great strength to shoot like that. Kobe made it look so dang easy.

Remember that fadeaway jumper against patterson to tie the game at portland? That was almost impossible!

My Rushmore is the baby skyhook vs Boston, the alleyoop vs Pdx, Horry's shot vs Sacramento, and .4.

Mine is probably the same order but I might swap Artest's game 7 with Fish's. Like someone said Fish's shot was almost a stunner where you should stood there like, I think that might count. In terms of emotion those first three mentioned were all tops and Artest's had a little more of that in it for me than DFish's.

Nick's running game winner vs. Spurs:

That came after he had made a game tying three 13 seconds earlier.

Kobe Bryant Buzzer Beater Double Overtime vs Portland

Kobe gave us two all-time clutch shots in this game.

Fantastic 4 some. Kobe's 2 3's over PDX was beast too but it was "only" to seal the division in 2004. Honoroable mention to Kobe against the Suns in 2006 Playoffs. If Lamar boxed out Tim Thomas in game 6 of that series, we'd be looking at Kobe's game winner in a different light.

Kobe's shot against the Jazz that gave them the lead in his final game. Just watched the 4th quarter highlights and I stlll get goosebumps. What a fitting way to end one of the greatest careers ever.

Kobe's turnaround jumper to beat the Mavs. Lakers were down 30 in the 3rd and 27 after 3.

Probably biased cause I had a big bet on the Lakers.

Damn is this an offseason thread:

Uuuuuugh...and I can't front. I'm bored enough to post in it for the second time.

Besides all the standard "greatest shots", we all know what they are...basically anything in the playoffs is nixed, those are all important on a certain level. Nick's shot at the Gaaaahden is also too obvious.

Byron trey at SA in 90 at buzzer to win by 1. Chick: SCOTT IT!
I got the Chick gm of course, but I only got the TNT version on YT.

Kobe tap at GS in 99 to finish a 28 pt comeback (one of best RS gms of 90s)

Sedale to left over flopping Rivers in 92 to scrape into playoffs (never forget that'n, one of my fave games of all time, a rare legitimately "thrilling" gm from start to finish)

Earvin 18 foot hook at SEA in 90 for the win. That shot eliminated SEA from the playoffs that year as a cherry.

In the 91 at HOU gm where Worthy entered midway after his bust, Perkins hit a ridiculous banking 3 from straight out to send the game to OT with a sec left. An orgasmic win, appropriately enough.

Excellent gm in 95 vs Indy where we had two CBA pickups who hit some fiendish ass clutch shots. Ridonkulous game as I recall. Man I loved that season.
A couple other examples: Tony Smith of all people hit a high arch banking 3 at the corner of the arc at the buzzer to beat the Cavs in Nov. Don't have the gm, but that was a freak shot for sure. Tony S actin like Tony Soprano.
In Feb, the gm vs Char was a peach. Here's the leadup to the end shot:

Shaq's turnaround vs Utah in 97 was a good one. Broke Jazz's 15 gm streak. Only true GW of his career.

Since I got this, good gm sans Shaq and a helluva shot

There are tons more. I could go on and on. Point is we blessed. More or less. If you don't count Kwame and Dwight, of course.

The same thing as a GW shot. This was an excellent game too. Look at DFish diving for that ball that Scott P lost. Derek at his best. HOU Chronicle called Scott "Ham Hands" in the paper. They were not impressed with all he was supposed to provide them. Better young than older than dirt, peeps. Remember that when you see next year's roster.

Nick's buzzer beater to close out the old Garden was pretty epic too. Dell Harris' greatest moment as a coach.

It was astounding. Career-defining moment for West, simply clutch.

First great shot in Lakers history, wish the 3pt line would have been in effect. And then they lost the game, arrrggghhh. I was watching!
