i like how he became deadeye practicing on a sport chalet double rim in a concrete backyard lol.
anyone that was serious about improving their shot, layups, etc. knew they hated double rim courts at the parks. all stiff. you had to be PERFECT with everything. then once you got that chance to go to a court with a single rim. OH MY...SPLASH. everyone that was serious about balling that started on that blacktop/cement(i know horrible for your knees). The moment you stepped on the hardwood. it was so easy for you. THe roughness of outside hoop, the perfection you need with a double rim will force you to be a tough basketball player with a money shot and a nice touch. when this guy gets to the nba with those super soft rims(They loosen those rims on purpose. this is entertainment, never forget that. they wont these dudes to score. The shots you miss at the tight park or even high school rims. you will make on a nba court. but if you practice in some of the worse conditions. when you get the easy court in the big league. it will be that much easier for you to make your shot. now all you have to worry about is getting just a litttle space from your guy. thats all you need. todays nba already gives you some with the soft rules.
Balls agent might start getting nervous that the Lakers won't take his client. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
It's official. Lonzo is gonna be a laker. Isaiah Thomas is magics bff and it seems like he's taking to Lonzo. Giving him some advice

I thought Magic and IT were estranged. They're not as close as they used to be.

Why post when what you have to say is decidedly false and your own personal narrative not supported by the eyes or any advanced analytics.
LB shot 71.8% at the cup on a statistically significant number of attempts...that's elite.
He shot 41.2% from 3, many of them step back NBA 3 range.
He is known for making the right read against the defense...teams lay off he takes the 3...teams hedge he hits the roll man...teams soft hedge he follows the retreating defender in to probe or attack the rim...and all of that is just when he's on the ball.
My god man...watch a couple of games before being outraged...you might like what you see.
Stats are so great when you don't have a brain to analyze them. He shoots a great percentage at the rim....great..im not debating that. Many of those attempts come in transition. My concern is the half court offense. He is poor at pick and roll...
Do you think a rookie Lonzo will have the free reign to jack 35 footers in an NBA game? Can he get that shot off against NBA length and quickness? Is it predictable when he goes right he will drive, left to shoot. He is a great talent with many holes in his game....its a matter of preference how one wants to construct a team. If he is picked I will root for him. If I could decide.....im not sold on his fit with the team/or that he is the bpa.
I could be wrong...but its my opinion.
Interesting discussion. LakerPimp, do you have data to support this claim? What percentage of his points (non 3s) were in transition compared to in a half court set? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Is this weird? Did well Ingram we were taking him #2 before the draft last year?
Not weird. It's more common to not make promises than to make them.
There is no reason to make a commitment
Yeah the only reason to ever promise is to get a guy to not work out for other teams. Lonzo is already doing that on his own accord. We know 100% who is going #1. If Lonzo is the guy we know he will be there. _________________ 14-5-3-12
Hmmm but if Lonzo is LAL's guy why wouldn't they promise him unless they're not sure? Because if they're committed, why would they want him running around working out for other teams and risking some BS injury? _________________ Austin Reaves

They might not promise him, if they wanna swindle Boston out of something (assuming Boston doesn't want another guard and want JJ or Tatum). It's also good news we're not hearing that Ball is working out for other teams.

It keeps your options open. What if a major red flag shows up? I don't buy the injury risk. That could happen working out on his own.

he's already not doing that of his own accord. either he/his agent know something or they don't give a (bleep) who drafts them

if the Lakers promised it to him, they wouldn't want it getting out. Because if they do than Philly could always decide they wonder whats so special about Lonzo that the Lakers see and upset the apple card.

If the Lakers promised Lonzo anything we won't hear about it.
i don't agree or disagree, but why would this stay under wraps while other stuff gets "leaked"
is literally every single leak ever in history "on purpose" from a front office for smokescreens/misdirection?

Lots of things can happen between now and then. A potential Paul George trade for example. No need to overcommit. If nothing materializes, then just draft Lonzo. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

I find it funny that Philly agreed on the Fultz trade after word got out that he murdered the Lakers workout only for him to tank his workout with them. _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season
