I have no doubt Ingram and Zubac are going to be better players, Ingram was terrible most of last season and Zubac didn't even play before the break, but at the end of last season they were solid for 19 years old rookies.
It is 3rd season for Russell, Julius and Nance, if they are not putting some very good numbers at the second half of next season we have greater problems than a few wins.
If we draft Ball I believe he is going to be a contributor early.
10+ wins is doable, maybe more since Ennis, Nwaba, Brewer acquisitions had a positive impact on team defense.

Depends on who is left on the team. Lets say we have to trade Clarkson, but we get to draft Ball, keep Randle/Russell/Zubac/Ingram and obtain George. In that scenario, I could see us winning 40-50 games next season.
With Randle and Clarkson gone, maybe 35-45 games net season. However, long term? I think we'd take a big hit if we had to give up Randle to get George now. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service
With the expected growth of randle and dlo. Assuming we draft Lonzo who probably who wont start at first but could impact team culture from training camp with his unselfishness. An improved Ingram and Jr spacing the floor and also setting the tone defensively. Adding PG to the mix can definately make a huge difference. His influence can help speed up the growth of the kids. They can see first hand how an all star practices, conducts himself, and holds himself and the team accountable. In games, they will gain a ton of experience on how to bring the necessary energy consistently, how to finish quarters, how to keep the score close, and how to win. They can see how he approaches taking the last shot, taking the challenge defensively and how to help the team when his shot isnt falling. All veteran situations that younger players struggle with. With all that being said, if they can improve defensively as a team, i do think they can challenge for a playoff spot. Im a optimist lol. Its a long shot, but making the post season this coming year would be so awesome. Especially, at the expense of the draft pick the celts have. PG would make us better for sure.
People do not have enough faith in our young players. I do not know why.
I think if we just let this players ,with Lonzo or JJ , to play their game next season, we are on 40 wins I am sure. If we trade Randle lets say for PG13 I think we can make 50 wins.
Ball/DLO/Clarkson/PG/Ingram/Zubac/Nance/Mozgov/Deng. This is good 8,5 players ( Deng is this half). If we can add one or two good veteran players it can be quite good season.
The kids need to improve defensively, to at least in the middle tier/NBA average to show significant gains in the wins column. _________________

Even with PG i still doubt we even get the 8th seed. Even if we do, we'd get swept by the Warriors lol
We were playing .500 ball through 20 games last season before the injury bug hit and then we decided to go into tank mode.
Add another year for the core to learn Luke's system, Lonzo to move the ball around and replace one way black hole Lou Williams with a legit 2 way player in George and I think we might be better than you think. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss
if we got pg, it would improve in two ways...we get a tall very effective/talented scorer...and it also increases dramatically the value of a player like ball if we get him. without someone like pg13, ball is a questionable value. we still would be far away from the warriors. but it would be as good a start as i can see. the warriors would not have a passer like ball, so that would be a very slight advantage in that area. they already have a guy like pg13 in durant, so that doesn't help us. but if we were to improve in 2-3 other roster positions as well, now we're talking.
let's say ingram develops into what we want his potential to be. then we have another tall guy. that's two now with ball. if zubac is all he's cracked up to be, there's another difference maker. randle and dlo, not sure how that works out. dlo will never be like a curry, imo. randle will never be like a draymond. i like clarkson.

Y'all are underestimating LONZO FREAKING BALL. The 2nd coming of Jason Kidd. 12/8/5 is attainable. Those were Kidd's rookie #s.
we are the lakers , it does not excite me one bit that people always brag about the possibility to get the next jason kidd, we need another kobe clone, so hopefully we draft Josh Jackson
