Zubac isnt raw he just needs to learn the game more, I wouldn't mind if we get another big though. |
We have Mozgov, Zubac, Randle and Nance playing the center spot. Who else do we need? |
randle and NAnce cannot be asked to play Center all the time. There position is PF...There are times we can go small but to depend on that is not the right move imo.
Our defense was terrible when we went small this season. |
Our defense was bad because we are the second worst team so no matter the situation our defense will come off terrible. You could have replaced Moz with anyone else and the results would have been the same or better. |

Timofey Mozgov Can Still Salvage His NBA Career, Just Not in Los Angeles
Despite an underwhelming first season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Timofey Mozgov can still play basketball at a high level.
Quote: | Mozgov played 54 games for the Lakers before they decided to shut him down for the remainder of the 2016–17 season. Not because of lingering knee pain from a reportedly unsuccessful surgery from the year prior, but because they decided that 20-year-old second round pick Ivica Zubac was a better option following the All-Star break. |

I doubt that they did it because they thought Zubac was ready to take over. |

Bad contract but not as bad as Joakim Noah's 4 year/$72.5 million contract with the Knicks. What on earth was Phil thinking? |

Mitch was incompetent for giving Moz the deal and Magic had to one up him. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

So, over/under on how many 3s Mozgov makes next season? Brook Lopez went from 3 total made 3s to 134 last season. Sean Marks knows what he's doing.
Mozgov is also a good free throw shooter (81%) and, despite a fairly slow stroke, he showed last year in the Olympics he could hit from distance. Mozgov was also a good midrange shooter.
So let's say over/under 50 3s. What do people say? |

Perhaps someone can move this into the General thread too, since he is off the team.
I hated this guy's play on the Lakers with a passion (Also hated his bloated contract - thanks Jimbo!).
But I thought it might be fun to check in on his progress every once in a while to see how much he is contributing to his new team...
In his last game against the Cav's Moz contributed a whopping 2 points, zero rebounds and 2 fouls, but what really helped his team beat the Cav's is that he ONLY played 12 minutes!
The game before that he amassed 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 fouls and his team lost due to him being on the court for 16 minutes!
The game before that he had 6 points, 5 rebounds and zero fouls in 17 minutes in a win over the Hawks!
The game before that it was 4 points, 6 rebounds in 15 minutes.
And then 4 points 3 rebounds in their first game, another loss.
In almost every game his team is "minus" when he is on the floor, I'm so glad he is gone... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |
