With the Bulls management they'll probably give us a 1st.

But I think Black would be included instead of Brewer with our glut of bigs on the roster.

I see no reason why Wade would want to be in a rebuilding situation, he might as well go to the Clippers, it makes no sense to get Wade unless you have a PG13 deal lined up then I can see the reason.

Give up a good young player and possible trade asset plus an expiring contract for a 35 year old guard on his last legs and a 2nd rounder? This smacks of RealGM more than real world.

What good is he on a rebuilding team? He could help us win a couple more games and then what? In a few years, when we become a playoffs team/championship contender, he'll be in a rocking chair.

If he wanted to play the role of mentor, we'd take him in for vet minimum.

considering we have no 1st next year we want to win a few more games to make it that much less valuable

His spot could be used for some1 who would be part of our longterm plan though. We need longterm players to start developing and building chemistry.

He fits in with our new culture pretty well. Can't see us getting a better 2 guard on a 1 year deal.

Plus we desperately need scoring and shooting from the guard position.

In case we get Wade, let's all recall what kind of difference a 36 year old Pau had with the Spurs...

I can live with

Lopez
Wade
George

Off season... but once again we need to be smart about it.

I would do it. Dwayne Wade can be like how Joe Johnson is playing in Utah.

Lakers Get:

Dwayne Wade

Bulls Get:

Julius Randle
Luol Deng
2020 1st Rd Pick

I think this benefits both team IMO
Lakers dump Deng's horrid contract while getting Wade's 23M expiring. Plus there is a better than good chance that Randle is not in the teams long term plans. And by the time 2020 rolls around we're banking on being back into contention.

For the Bulls the pick up a nice young player in Julius while also adding a future 1st. The Bulls will be banking on the Lakers FO collapsing Mitch & Jimmy style, but at worse they can use it as a future asset in trade.

I doubt Wade would be any more happy here. He doesn't want to be on a rebuilding club.

We can buy him out. He helps us shed Deng's contract and the bulls get some picks out of it. Win win for all parties.

I would get Wade if we could trade Deng back to the Bulls along with Clarkson and maybe some late draft pick of some sorts. It would be a homecoming for Deng where he can play the twilight of his career in the city he called home for so many years. Then they can ship him off to the glue factory after he scores 7 points on his "Deng Day" finally.

And like I said in a previous post, Wade will only be with us for one year. DWade & his Hollywood wife will get to enjoy a year in LA. And if he likes it here and isn't riddled with too many injuries, maybe he can stay for a minimum salary, come off the bench, be a mentor, and help recruit Lebron in 2018.

agree, if its for Deng (+ Tarik Black perhaps) we should do it. otherwise i dont see what we could give them

Brewer is an $7mil expiring, Wade is an $24mil expiring. If the goal is to clear cap space for 2 max, this is an avenue

No

What the hell would be the point of this?

Continue to develop the young guys like Lonzo, Ingram, Randle and Nance and go hard after two max players next offseason.

What would be the point of having 46.4 million worth of Wade and Lopez coming off the books next summer when the FO wants to add PG13 and another top talent? How exactly do people expect them to go hard after anyone without the cap space opened up first? There's that pesky Deng situation as well...

The idea of adding Wade has nothing to do with him as a player. No need to worry about the Lonzo-BI movement. As far as Randle - enjoy his contract year. Will have to wait to see who he'll sign that contract with.
