This dude has been Tom Brady's personal trainer since Brady tore his ACL in 2008, and since then Brady's been an iron man and defied all historical QB longevity/age expectations.

Loved this quote from the article:

MT: What's your understanding of how much you'll be involved in the nutritional aspect of the training?

Peterson: It's my understanding that there's going to be a nutritionist on staff, which I'm a big fan of. I think it's going to be somebody who looks up their blood, because if not, to a degree it's throwing darts. Not that you can't hit a bullseye when you're blindfolded, but it's so much easier if you know what you're looking at. You give them the knowledge of what they can eat, what things will help their body perform better. If you eat this, expect X, Y and Z in terms of how your joints feel, where your energy levels are and how it affects your sleep and they'll make the right decisions. If you give them the right information, at least they can't say they didn't know. 'Oh, I thought chicken wings were protein.' Well, they're not, but good try.

I didn't know that he is brady's training. That's good to hear. It's shocking how well brady has avoided injury.

Gunnar Peterson is best known for training the Kardashian clan, Sly Stallone, J-Lo and Ben Affleck. Now he's got a job with the Lakers.

Isnt it way different to train professional athletes vs media celeb?

Just because he can do one doesn't mean he can't excel at the other. Someone's already posted a long list of athlete's he's worked with including Tom Brady.

He worked with KD.

Quote:
But Brandon is way stronger than he looks. You don’t have to be built like Karl Malone to be strong. There are thinner guys who are really strong. Kevin Durant, who I used to work with, has real strength to his body.

Weight Room Update with Gunnar Peterson

Quote:
Gunnar Peterson has been training individual NBA players during the offseason for 22 years, but 2017-18 was his first year with an NBA team working in an office alongside a staff and a group of guys throughout the grueling 82-game campaign.

The best person they should have reached out to is Cornell Jenkins. He's revolutionizing everything with applying physics to sports. He's younger, but what he's doing with his athletes is super impressive. He's getting people not getting injured, increasing their athleticism at a crazy rate, and improving their mobility and he's not even using weights from a gym...

Hopefully Gunnar is the guy!
