I used to think Subway was high-end fast food (similar to what I thought of Panda Express), but recently I've realized that it's actually sort of gross. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

I use to eat it frequently. Now I don't even remember when the last time I ate it was. _________________ "I'm Magic before retirement, illest in the game."

It feels like it's gone down hill in recent years. Don't know if that's actually true or if it's just due to the rise of boutique "fast food" places that actually do use fresh food..
Btw, my girlfriend's sister worked at Subway for a bit. Said it actually was disgusting. That distinct subway smell? Actually the cleaning product they use

Same here.
Doesn't help that there are some REALLY good sandwich places in LA. I like Reggie's.
But a chain like Mendocino Farms blows subway away too.

I work in a place that's a relative food desert. I try and bring my lunch, but when I don't sometimes it's nice that I can go to a place that has vegetables that aren't deep fried/sauteed.
Had a turkey sub today with honey oat bread. It was pretty tasty. Some salt pepper, light on the mayo some jalepeno's inside. its cool. I rather go to Togo's where i live. ITs alot better, but much more expensive and way on the other side of town.

I cringe when I hear someone speak well of Olive Garden.
Jimmy Johns is garbage.
Panera is overrated, but I won't say it is garbage.
A Which Wich just opened in my town, have not tried it yet. When I heard it was a chain, I lost any interest in going. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

Subway provides a sad, lifeless, and flavorless sandwich. If I'm going to eat fast food, which I make a rare occasion, I'm going all out and having a true work of art like a Sourdough Jack. _________________ 14-5-3-12

When some idiot pulls a great looking loaf of bread from the oven then smashes it flat while ripping into it with a dull knife.
Or when they are so busy chatting with their co-worker that they empty half the canister of mayonnaise on the sandwich, then get pissy when you tell them they just ruined your sandwich.
No. It's garbage. The bread is terrible and the meat is crap. I haven't eaten there in years. If I want a good sandwich i go to Jersey Mike's. The bread is good and you can see them cutting the meat in the store so you know what your getting. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

Jersey Mikes is a little better than Subway. But try Mendocino Farms if you're interested in a sandwich chain.
If you want a non-sandwich chain near downtown. Reggie's deli or Langer's are good choices. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

Yeah. The first one was pretty good I guess. I got about twenty minutes into the second one and got bored and never finished. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

We're agreeing. They are a chain. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
Subway is on the bottom of the sandwich shop totem pole as far as I'm concerned.
Jersey Mike's ain't bad at all. Except they sometimes over do it with the vinegar/oil.... But I like that they slice the meat in front of you. Doesn't hurt that the one next to my work has 3 cute chicks working there either. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same."
