Brewer Becomes NBA's New Iron Man
Quote: | Across the entire NBA, no player shows up to work more consistently than Corey Brewer.
Brewer, who played in his 273rd consecutive game on Wednesday, became the league’s new iron man. Now, Brewer holds the title of iron man, having missed zero games since Feb. 7, 2014. |

Corey Brewer Believes This Is A ‘Big Summer’ For Growth Of Lakers Young Core
Quote: | The young core must remain open to learning and hearing constructive criticism, trusting those that have paved the way for them. Veterans, such as midseason acquisition Corey Brewer, play a significant part in their development. The 10-year veteran understood his role when he was acquired by the Lakers, serving as a template for what the young core should model themselves after. |

2017 Player Capsule: Corey Brewer
The Sweetner!
Quote: | Season Summary:
The Lakers acquired Brewer from Houston along with their 2017 first-rounddraft pick in exchange for Lou Williams at the trade deadline, and got 24 games of his traditionally-excellent effort and energy to serve as an example for L.A.’s young players. He scrapped his way around on defense and flew up the court in transition, often a key for the second unit that helped L.A. win five straight games in April. Brewer did struggle to hit 3-pointers, converting just 20.8 percent from distance. Generally a quiet person, Brewer found opportunities to teach L.A.’s young players things he’s picked up over his career on the court during games, at practice and in the locker room. |

this is great:
But there’s nothing D’Antoni loves more than a good story, which is why ex-Rocket Corey Brewer will forever have a place in D’Antoni lore. Early this season, Brewer, who was traded to the Lakers in late February, took a pass on the baseline, drove, spun, shook two defenders with a 360 and missed a point-blank shot at the rim. “Coach, I did my thing,” he told D’Antoni, “but then I got to the rim and just ran out of talent.” “Ran out of talent,” D’Antoni repeats. “Best line in the history of basketball.” – via ESPN |

PSA that Corey Brewer is still a Laker. Half the depth chart posts are missing him, but include guys like Dozier and Black (even after he was cut today). Love him or have him he's a Laker. |

Yes, we want a 10-year bench vet who "runs out of talent" as a model to our young core....(NOT)!
But if we are gonna carry a Vet. I guess he is a step up from MBS (Mega Bench Space), I mean MWP, who contributed greatly to the Lakers securing the 3rd worse record in the NBA last season! _________________ “Always remember... I think Brewer will have a strong, positive effect on Ingram's development. Glad they're both here. |

Corey Brewer still making it work in NBA
Quote: |
“We’ve got Lonzo Ball, some good young talent coming in so we should have a better year,” Brewer said. “The future is going to be bright. Magic is great, he’s doing a good job and Rob Pelinka, who has come in and took over as the GM, they’re both doing a great job and they are getting the pieces they want.” |

I wonder if Brewer becomes this year's Tarrik Black; the positive guy, who contributes some, but is probably most important for being a strong teammate presence. He finishes out the year (unless he becomes the sweetener again in a trade), and we wish him well wherever he lands next year. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Brewer is definitely a guy we should bring back on the vets minimum after this season, good guy and good locker room vet. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Based on last season I could stomach Brewer having Dengs contract more than I can stomach Deng having it. _________________ How can I get a copy of a Laker game played on Sunday, March 11, 2001 Sonics/Lakers? If you know PM me please
I would be willing to pay you for it. |

It's because Brewer actually provided the leadership that Deng was suppose to provide. |

What's to hate about Brewer really. He's going to do his job and be a good teammate. Plus he likes to run. |
