If I'm PJ Dozier, I'm upset I didn't break 30% behind the arc and 40% FG overall.

Looking for PJ to play well tonight since he should get a decent amount of playing time today.
Dozier is somewhat limited offensively but he is a versatile defender.
His defense often leads to his offense.
PJ's length and athleticism allows him to be a solid defender who can disrupt the passing lanes and defend both guard spots.
He may even be able to guard the wing as he continues to improve and mature.

sprained ankle....guess you get to save face this time. In all seriousness though....the contract he signed included a training camp invitation...I hope they do not rescind that offer....dude never got a chance. 8 minutes in 3 games.

He's having it rough. Looks a little deer-in-headlight-ish which is really unfortunate for him and for us because it means Vander Blue gets more minutes.

Time was limited. I was looking for stints of what he does best. An outstretched layup is not that.

I've just seen a lot more guys with a lot more skill set, and not even make the L, but a wing with measureables that can't shoot, and isn't an elite level athlete makes it? It doesn't make sense to me.

So you're saying there's still a chance?

Didn't play today. Looks like we are looking at Caruso more closely. He's probably not going to last past training camp for us at this rate. Blame the pope.

Poor Dozier. Career ending mild ankle sprain? With Nwaba and Hart out, there's a lot of minutes just waiting for a guard.

Seems a bit premature to say this. He will get a training camp invite and will need to show what he can do with the full squad. If he plays well in October, nobody will remember Vegas.

Lakers' P.J. Dozier: Will remain sidelined Sunday vs. Mavericks

Quote:
Dozier (ankle) will remain sidelined for Sunday's Las Vegas Summer League matchup with the Mavericks, Mark Medina of Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Dozier is nursing a minor ankle injury and considering it's only Summer League, there's no reason for the Lakers to risk an aggravation by bringing him back too soon. He should be able to make a full recovery by training camp, although the undrafted rookie out of South Carolina isn't guaranteed a roster spot.

They are being so cautious about his ankle, looks like they must be serious about bringing him to camp and taking a real look at him.

Who knows. When he wasn't hurt the team wasn't playing him much anyways. He's got the athletic tools but not sure the other basketball tools are there.
