He should have gone to NBA earlier. He was already in a clear descent before joining the Lakers.

I'm hoping it's not the same for Teodosic. I hope the Clippers suck, but he does well.

I'll admit I'm not too familiar with him, but isn't he basically supposed to be a taller Huertas with a jumper?

That's not a bad bench player! I think he could be one of the best passers in the NBA from day one, and I'm all about watching top notch passers.

Taller, more athletic Huertas, with a jumper and solid defense.

His defense is solid, he can shoot, he's scappy, and he's hungry. Great signing.

Is it true that he can only play 42-45 games with the Lakers next season, as part of the 2 way contract?

Is he able to be upgraded to a full roster spot at some point?

yes, it automatically converts to full minimum contract once he exceeds 45 days with the regular roster. I could be wrong, but i do not think it is "games". but "days" which is what is counted.

yea, that further confused me. So, for example, if they bring him on the Grammy Trip, that can be a good sign for his future with the club...

Teodosic is in his prime. My concern is that it might be difficult for him to adapt to the NBA at the age 30. It's just a different game.

Take Sergio Rodriguez, for instance. He had a previous NBA experience and was arguably the 2nd best PG in Europe a couple of seasons ago, behind Teodosic. And he didn't have a big impact.

Teodosic is a gifted passer, a very good shooter, but bad defender. I don't know who said he's a solid defender; he's a defensive liability even in EuroLeague.

Only comp is they are both gifted passers. Buck stops there. Caruso also makes the more sensible pass while Huertas would tend to make the flashy pass that is more apt for a turnover

Except that he starred in high school and in AAU in Dallas, Texas. That's as American as it gets

It doesnt change the fact that these guys are totally different players

Caruso is a big guard who plays pretty good D

Huertes is a speed bump

I did not think he could be an NBA player the first 2 games I watched him but it looks like he could be a player that fit our system. He can shoot, can move the ball, and can defend. Good 2 way contract for us.

For distributing the ball, we have Ball. As for score-first guards who put up a ton of shots, we have several of them.

Love the way Caruso progressed through Summer League. Knock him down, bloody him, he just gets tougher. Plays defense, and good court vision. Sure, he's got a lot of things he can likely improve on, but I really like how he fits on the roster, I like his hustle, his passing, and his motor.

Happy to see him on a 2 way contract. Welcome!
