I think letting him go was more because we drafted Hart. It would have been hard to find minutes for both next year. |

Don't see him getting many in Chicago this season either with Wade, Lavine, Valentine, and Holiday at the same position. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Well, Hart may not be an NBA player at all, and the Lakers have two roster spots open on a team with four guards, including one (JC) they'll need to trade for nothing in order to afford two max FAs next summer.
And Nwaba could have easily been the best guard defender on next year's squad unless Hart surprises as a rookie. |

This overreaction of this d-leaguer reminds me of Anthony Brown. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Doesn't it suck when fans find an underdog to root for? |

AB was a underachieving draft pick. Nwaba was like a walk on who overachieved. It's easier to root for him. |

Lakers wanted to bring him back according to Tania LA Times. Nice guy, really athletic and a crowd favorite. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Unlike AB, Nwaba actually produced. If you can't see the value of someone like Nwaba to a winning culture then you don't watch enough basketball. |

Perhaps we'll get him back when we trade for Wade in the Deng salary dump. _________________ "I like looking at a guy's face when he realizes that even his best moves aren't going to work on me all night. They look depressed." - Ron Artest |

That summarizes well. Nobody thinks Nwaba is a Star, but he brings very good defense for a minimum wage. Good deal. _________________ .... |

since when second round pick not making it in the NBA became underachiever? Absolute majority of them don't make it _________________ Major bullets dodged: DH12 - twice, LMA, Melo - twice, PG-13, DeMar DeRozan. Hit jackpot with DH-12 at the right time |

I'm disappointed we didn't have the opportunity to retain Nwaba. He's exactly the kind of role player you'd need on a contending team who could also be had for cheap. Nwaba is athletic, a very good slasher, and a hustler who appeared to be a great compliment to Lonzo. I loved seeing their chemistry develop in SL when Nwaba would be running the wing and Lonzo would find him in stride for an easy basket. Not to mention his defense, which was tenacious. |
