Oh man, if we can go all the way. Clayton needs a perfect game on his resume too. What better season to have it? _________________ KOBE |

Serious question. What do we do if Agon is healthy enough to comeback? _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Agon has to be a pro about it and put his pride aside. This team is clicking at a historic pace. Can't screw with it. _________________ KOBE |

For some reason Baez makes me nervous when he is on the mound. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

At least 162, I believe. 1 inning per team game played. Today's our 92nd game, Wood is sitting at 83 2/3 (as of the third inning in Miami). FWIW, JT needs 3.1 PA per team game played to qualify for BA. Although, in a batter's case, if he is short PA at the end of the season, they'll add however many they need to his total to get him there. |
Thanks. I hope they both qualify! |
He's gone 6.75 innings in his last 4 starts. He has to maintain that pace I think. He has entirely too many 5 inning games this season which hurts his cause quite a bit. |
Another six-inning game where he was pulled at only 80 pitches. I feel like he could have easily went 7 today, although I understand why Dave is so protective of Wood. Oh well. Team over individual for Doc. |

Saw an interview with him. He's saying all the right things.
Quote: | Put it this way: Even if I’m not quote-unquote 100%, I’m still going to go in September because what I have is what I have,” Gonzalez said. “If it doesn’t get better with all this time off, it’s not going to get better, so I might as well learn to play with medication.” If he isn’t healthy enough for regular play, Gonzalez said he is happy to take a pinch-hitting role or to cede playing time to Cody Bellinger since “I’m just here to win. It’s not about, ‘It’s my position,’ or, ‘It’s his position.’ It’s about winning as a team.”

He's been really clutch this season (and as I say that he allows an RBI). He's taken a huge step forward. Hope he keeps it up. |

If he doesn't hit the innings required, we'll just have to settle for Clayton winning another Cy. _________________ KOBE |

Best start that I can ever recall. I remember Fernando went 8-0 as a rookie and Fernandomania was in full swing. |

Yeah, the crazy thing is he went 9 innings in ALL 8 games . Gave up 2 runs through his first 7 and gave up 2 in game #8. It was the most dominant 8 inning stretch ever imo. _________________ KOBE |

I wouldn't fret about Wood possibly winning the Cy Young. He would have to significantly outperform both Scherzer and Kershaw in all of the peripheral categories in order to beat them out. I mean, both Kersh and Max are going to throw probably 230-240 innings. Wood is on pace for less than 160. I just can't see him winning it; the innings disparity will be too great. He would have to probably be something like 20-0 with a 1.50 ERA to have a shot at beating those 2 guys, and I'd still put it at a longshot, since Kersh will probably have a sub-2 ERA anyway.
Just take strikeouts: Scherzer is on pace for about 330 K's, and Kershaw is on pace for about 290. Wood is on pace for about 170. Yeah, I just can't see it, barring injuries to both Kersh and Max. |

You hated Radinsky?!?
Loved the guy simply because he moonlit as the lead singer in two of my favorite bands in high school, ten foot pole and pulley. He still sings with Pulley today.
Honestly cannot remember enough of his time on the mound tho. |
