Lonzo and the Defenders defeated the (7) New Jersey Nets.

40 minutes and they scored higher than NBA average. 5 guys in double figures. It happened at UCLA, in the SPL,and soon at Staples.
Background music: "Good times. These...are...the... good times."
You guys better not steal my idea. I'm thinking about copy writing it.

A total team effort.
Vanderblue, Kuzma, and Lonzo leading. But everyone contributing.

Think Vanderblue is close to winning the last spot on the Lakers.
He will be a good 2 league player for the last spot.

Lonzo makes everyone play better.

I think he can get Randle, Ingram, KCP, and Lopez looking good if they play team ball. No ball stoppers needed on the new Lakers team.

They will be gunning for Lonzo.

I love the kids game, but the Lakers are screwed if they don't get a real PG to play behind Ball. If they try to play Ball 38-40 minutes a game he will wear out by mid-season.

I'm cool with keeping Blue and trading one of the PFs off for a backup, but we need a serviceable PG.

Another fun game, with everyone getting into it tonight. Nets are scary bad -- that was half of their actual team and the remainder ain't that much better.

Cavs were undefeated until they played a real team.

I know its just summer league but it felt like every time a Laker pump faked at the three point line he was able to drive for an uncontested lay up/dunk. Play some D Nets, damn.

I was worried we were going to lose that one when the Nets pulled away in the third but we came back strong. I was critical of Blue being on this team but he has been huge.

Dallas is going to be a big challenge, but we can do it.

That small ball spread the floor around the perimeter. If you bit on a pumpfake, there was no help on the drive because of how spread apart they were.

Besides the win, I enjoyed the announcers actually calling the game instead of talking about everything else under the sun. Which has been the case in the other games.

GO LA!

Which is going to happen during the regular season as well because Lopez is going to draw bigs out near the 3 point line. That's going to allow 1v1 for Randle in the paint, which should really help him.

Worked for Kuzma. Didn't work on Lonzo's headfakes.

RHJ has been such a disappointment.

Shows where the league is. If you can't shoot, you can shimmy at the FT line.

I never realized how ugly his shot actually is until yesterday

The bites on Kuzma's pump fakes were junior varsity. Gerald Wallace rolled over in his grave at that.

Question for Mike at LG and others.

In the summer league games when we go to a small ball lineup who is playing the center position? Has it been Ware or Kuzma?

Can Kuzma play the 5 during the regular season if we go with the small ball lineup?
