It is obvious the guy is attempting to play a more team friendly style of basketball.....is it enough yet, I have no idea how the FO will see it....but can we please move on from the tried and true narrative of the guy that he does not pass. |

Blue can give us the same production as Clarkson at a fraction of the cost. Definitely should get a training camp invite. The guy can flat out score. _________________ We only celebrate championships.

Ive changed my mind on blue. I first thought he was an nba player but didnt necessarily want him on our team, but this game showed he has bought into the team system and passing the ball. We should definitely give him the second 2-way _________________ Kobe |

I'd give him a 2-way if PJ Dozier doesn't earn one. I had the same complaints about the guy prior, but playing with Lonzo has impacted his style of play in a good way. He's already adapting it seems and the more familiar he gets with Lonzo, the more efficient he'll get. |

That two way contract for Caruso seems premature. He has trouble bringing the ball up court. And making passes. He can be a turnover machine.
Would bring Blue to training camp with him performing well to get that last 2 way spot.
He cn score and shoot and that is what is needed now. He has speed. |

Vander Blue reminds me of Gaudlock, players who have a ton of skill but yet are shunned by nba teams. Something I never understood. |

He has a good chance to get the second 2-way contract. I don't really see who else they might offer one to. Maybe Dozier? I expect Bryant to get a contract. _________________ "Whatever you do in life, surround yourself with smart people who'll argue with you." |

Blue's play concerns me, because he seems very selfish at time, but then again he's able to create for himself and score the ball.
If he was a lock-down defender, I don't think there would be a question as to rather or not we would sign him. Caruso was signed because he's a pass first type of guard which says he can fit into an unselfish system.
I think he will get a pre-season contract, but maybe go back to "D" no "G" league and move on from there... |

Blue is a keeper. Had a great game yesterday 36 min, 17 pts (5-10), 6 assts and 5 rebs. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

If Blue keeps playing team ball (had some nice looking passes lately), he's definitely a keeper. |

I expect he might be fatigued tonight. He only took 4 minutes off in last night's game. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Was just talking to my Dad about this. I like Carusso's defense and hustle plays, but I don't think he has warranted a contract yet.
Vander is playing fantastic. It would be a head-scratcher if he weren't offered a contract. He can be our 16/17 version of Lou... _________________ LAKERS RAIDERS KINGS DODGERS AZTECS MIDSHIPMEN |

I'm starting to lean toward Matt Thomas. Make no mistake, I know Blue is a better player. And he deserves to be on an NBA team. But for the limited role the Lakers are looking at, do they want a D-league MVP? Or a guy who does one thing, but can do that one thing great. And I'm seeing Thomas as one of those kinds of shooters.
You see a lot of guys labeled "3-point specialists" and they come out and maybe knock down 35-38%. Which, if that's all you do, is kind of blah. But this fellow is pure money on threes. And on any open looks, actually. We're talking Korver/Kerr territory. He's over 52% from the arc.
You'd have to hide him on defense, but it may be worth it for that kind of effectiveness in a specific role.
I think Vander may just not be what the team needs as much. What he does best actually gets away from what the team wants to do overall. |

Mick - I actually get this argument. Tonight's finals matchup will tell the tale.

Today is Vander Blue's birthday. Asked him what he wants. Blue: "To be a Laker." |
I wouldn't be opposed to giving Blue the other two-way contract. _________________ http://tinyurl.com/zhjax5w

Blue is simply just a scorer and nothing much more, he has limited court vision bringing up the ball, tonight he blew at least 2 possible open layups for Bryant. _________________ |
