Cool, a theory for those who watch Faux News, or read either Breitbart or Infowars slowly, one syllable at a time:

Trump Jr.'s Russia meeting a Democratic plot? Pro-Trump media wants you to think so

It was all a long con that started with giving a moron the keys to the country.

Freedom is one thing but I am not sure if it is wrong of me to say I would never
ever want to live in a world country state neighborhood dominated
by people who agree with Donald Trump

Sixty Three Million Citizens. Citizens Educated
by the US school systems and televisions and their neighborhoods...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Felt strongly enough
that Donald Trump was their guy.
How (bleep) hard is it to see (bleep)
when (bleep) is cheering on this guy...

Anyhow.. I may not be the most educated or always the most friendly
but America always meant something better than Donald Trump..
meant something like
Neighbors and looking out for each other
Helping those in need whether it be with a smile
or kind encouragement or physical resources
Appreciating our differences.. Maybe I was mesmerized by Bill Clintons
campaign but .. what was it "Let our Diversity be our Strength!"

As I grew up Vietnam was ending.. lost a relative. then the Cold War...
then the Tech Revolution..
Both of the "Lets test our new weapons on innocent Iraqi Citizens"
bombing campaigns "Desert Storm" and "Operation Iraqi Freedom"

Trump and AND.. those who found him appealing and inspirational are people
I strongly oppose on deep internal principles..
they know how to exclude and berate and
belittle and beat and punish and bully and
abuse anyone and everything...

^^ All I want to know is

How did America the Beautiful create 62,984,825
Verifiable Citizens of the United States
who ALL find Trump INSPIRING???

HOW??

If I think about it too long it hurts my soul

the truth is. you have to be honest about our girl named America. She was built on some extremely unethical stuff. And it didnt just stop a 100 years into its creation. It kept going and is still there til this day. You can't be great when you start like that and you can't be great when you continue in a similar fashion just not as obvious. You have to first admit this is the case, then take step 2 and do something about it. That goes for each individual. until that happens anyone calling america great will be living a lie. america is better than a lot of places. But that alone does not make her great. Remember that.

They're all #NeverTrumpers. For years they made their living by criticizing everything Obama did, and now that they've made U-turns because Trump, they're getting tons of shares from people on the opposite side of the political spectrum as if they're somehow virtuous. It's pretty aggravating. Same thing with McCain, Graham, etc. It should be completely transparent what's happening, but in this political climate, I guess not.

It's actually why they made U-turns. Keeps them in these circles, to keep playing the game and making money. It is transparent. But it does not matter anymore really and it hasn't for a while. Short term memory key there.

There were actually a few more lying steps in there.

All Russian stories are fake news.
Never met with Russians.
Had meeting about adoptions.
Had meeting about oppo research but nothing came of it.
Had meeting with one Russian not connected gov't and they didn't give us anything anyway.
Had meeting with multiple Russian agents who promised take-down dirt on Clinton, but absolutely positively no one told Trump.
Yes, so we got some info, but it's the same as any oppo research.
Okay maybe it's collusion, but is that really so wrong?
It was our patriotic duty to win the election by any means necessary because Clinton was a crooked traitor and we saved the nation from her.

Throw shade and try to confuse the base by stating the opposition could do it and no one would bat an eye.

Either this is the most incompetent of all administrations, or they are so clever that they obfuscate everything and thus draw our attention to that and place the focus there.

The only positive I can conceive of that'll come out of this travesty of a sham of a treasonous, kleptocratic presidency (assuming the republic survives) is all of the new post-Trump legislation that should be enacted to make unethical presidential behavior into explicitly illegal behavior.

It's sad that is how low the bar has dropped.
As long as the Donald doesn't explicitly break the law. 35-40% of the country thinks everything is fine. And it ticks me off they are calling 60% of the country hysterical for thinking this is a big deal.
I can understand why the wealthy still back Trump (it serves their self-interests). But the massive part of Trump's base that is poor or middle class. I just don't get it. I guess that part of the base will eat up his "Made in America" week. But deep down. Somewhere in their souls. They must know, this Presidency is just ... wrong.

They don't know, because deep down ... they're really that stupid and dumb. The stupid and the dumb found their voice, and they'll never let go and let sanity rule again.

A TV commentator today was saying that some of these people got used to and comfortable with the entertainment character of Trump on Celebrity Apprentice for example. They think he's rich so he must be smart. He'll know how to hire the right people because that is what he does every episode, he fires the bad ones. They can't separate a TV show from the reality of actually governing the country. These are the same people that watch Honey Boo Boo and Duckhunters and believe they are downhome folks "just like us". Doesn't explain all Trump supporters of course but some of them maybe.

Health Care Overhaul Collapses as Two Republican Senators Defect

Quote:
WASHINGTON — Republican Senators Jerry Moran of Kansas and Mike Lee of Utah declared Monday night they would oppose the Senate Republican bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act, for now killing a seven-year-old promise to overturn President Barack Obama’s signature domestic achievement.

Bet a bunch more come out against it too now that the floodgate has opened. And they don't even have the CBO score yet.

IIRC, there were only a handful or so Senators that were publicly FOR the initial Senate GOP bill a few weeks ago. The vast majority were either against it or didn't say anything publicly. They see the 20 percent approval for the bill and know that could potentially mean an electoral disaster.

It was much easier being against Obamacare for many years than being for something.

McConnell: Senate will try to repeal ObamaCare with delayed replacement

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on Monday night the Senate will try to separate ObamaCare repeal and replacement, closing the door on the current GOP healthcare legislation.

"In the coming days, the Senate will vote to take up the House bill with the first amendment in order being what a majority of the Senate has already supported in 2015 and that was vetoed by then-President Obama: a repeal of Obamacare with a two-year delay to provide for a stable transition period," McConnell said in a statement.

Here's something else... apparently "adoption" talk when it comes to Russia is trade speak for Russian sanctions, since it would be illegal to actually discuss Russian sanctions without using such euphemisms when those involved, at the time, were not members of the United States government.

And there you have it. Mitch went for his huge tax cut, but ultimately, due to fractions in the GOP, couldn't form a coalition to get it done. He succumbed to something that is well known in legislative circles, status quo inertia. That is, the existing law is usually difficult to repeal and replace with something else. The checks and balances provide too many roadblocks, and in this case, even getting last those wasn't enough.

So now he goes for the inertia shift. He asks for repeal set at a future date, which then, if it passes, forces something to be done to head off the big catastrophe, or if not, that's a win too.
