Got to keep Thomas imo, he can get 9 to 15 points just standing in the corner waiting to make a 3...

In a couple of years Kuzma will be in contention for the All-Star team.

I want this summer league championship banner to be hung in the rafters of the staple center with the rest of our championship banners!

Whether or not they ever make it to the NBA, I'm real happy for the likes of Caruso, Thomas, Weir, and Vander Blue - they played tough as nails this tournament. Played their butts off, shared the ball, and made big shots when it counted. Good to see them experience winning a title in a game that received this much attention. Good memory for them, but also hopefully some good exposure, showing how they can play hard, fight each possession, and play the right way in a supporting role. I hope they get noticed by GM's and I hope they each get a shot at the big leagues somewhere.

Lol

Magic goes over to doc and is all like:

"Doc! Sorry you lost CP3. You know that's actually twice an LA team lost CP3. No worries though, you can have one of our trophies as a consolation prize..."

::tosses doc the summer league trophy::

For those of us Laker fans living in the Portland area this game has special meaning. I don't want my local sports fan friends rubbing it in - falsely- that Portland has a more promising new group coming in than the Lakers, and giving me crap all summer. Lonzo, Kuzma, Hart, Hoosier Mamba >>>>>> Collins, Swanigan and the rest of their squad. Just a matter of time and the Laker lineup will be > Portland's NBA lineup, period.

Outside of that, as for this game - I'm not going to lose sleep if Lonzo plays and goes out at halftime with soreness - he's got nearly 3 months after this game to fix his ailments and he's young. Same goes for BI. These guys live for basketball and they'd love to go after it for a Summer League title. Let them have some fun out there and get it done!

If the Laker training staff disagrees - I'll be mildly disappointed but won't lose any sleep on that either. We'll be 0-0 at the start of the season either way.

Sure would be fun to see Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma and company to blow Portland out by 30 for the summer league title though! That would make for a nice buzz around the NBA going into the dog days of summer.

Congrats on your "bragging rights" in the Portland area! I'm sure you will take full advantage!

Just saw on Twitter where they were throwing water on each other in the locker room instead of champagne. When you're underage and can't drink, but you need to celebrate that championship
