Just saw on Twitter where they were throwing water on each other in the locker room instead of champagne. When you're underage and can't drink, but you need to celebrate that championship

AKA when cameras are on you and you have to pretend you don't drink

Right?

Could be a trade piece. We have Lopez and Bryant to fill the 5 spot. I like Bryant. He is a energy guy. He gives 100%

We can also try Randle, nance and Kuzma at the 5

Summer League Champions!… Give it up for this Summer League Laker team. They did it in style. High scoring, highlight reel plays and high octane.

The Lakers rested their Summer League MVP, Lonzo Ball, with the calf strain. Without the MVP, they were still able to push the tempo. That pace and speed they played with was now in their DNA after running game after game.

They struggled at times hitting the open man on some of their drives and pushouts. They were a little soft defensively. Still, they trailed by just 1 at the half behind Kyle Kuzma’s 19 first half points. The Lakers shot 8-12 from three in the first half, doing a good job finding their shooters.

The energy level picked up for the Lakers to start the fourth quarter. They came out swinging and forced a timeout up 13. The Blazers sank two threes to cut it in half, but the Lakers came right back to push it to double digits again. Coach Jud Buechler jockeying this group down the stretch. There was blood in the water, they tasted it and went for the kill.

Breaking the Blazers, the Lakers cruised the last few minutes to the 110-98 win.

The lowest seed to ever to go all the way, they won six straight games to take the Summer League Championship.

“They shared the basketball. They played the right way. If you do that, good things are going to happen,” Buechler said.

I feel like they may have jumped the gun on signing Caruso. I'm liking Blue and Thomas more for those two way contracts.

The FO should have waited until SL was over before extending those contracts.
Honestly, all three are deserving.

For those of us Laker fans living in the Portland area this game has special meaning. I don't want my local sports fan friends rubbing it in - falsely- that Portland has a more promising new group coming in than the Lakers, and giving me crap all summer. Lonzo, Kuzma, Hart, Hoosier Mamba >>>>>> Collins, Swanigan and the rest of their squad. Just a matter of time and the Laker lineup will be > Portland's NBA lineup, period.

Outside of that, as for this game - I'm not going to lose sleep if Lonzo plays and goes out at halftime with soreness - he's got nearly 3 months after this game to fix his ailments and he's young. Same goes for BI. These guys live for basketball and they'd love to go after it for a Summer League title. Let them have some fun out there and get it done!

If the Laker training staff disagrees - I'll be mildly disappointed but won't lose any sleep on that either. We'll be 0-0 at the start of the season either way.

Sure would be fun to see Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma and company to blow Portland out by 30 for the summer league title though! That would make for a nice buzz around the NBA going into the dog days of summer.

Congrats on your "bragging rights" in the Portland area! I'm sure you will take full advantage!
Yes. I. Will.

Yeah I'm annoyed I can't find it.

Think this is the unofficial shirt, but it seems the closest to original design by font and size.

Still no luck in finding the official adidas one. Guess they won't be selling them despite the demand.
