I think wolves will struggle on offense without Rubio....a lot of ball stoppers on that team. Wolves should have been better last year. We shall see though. |

Interesting |
Ball vs Teague: I think this will end up being Ball by a mile
BI vs Wiggins: If BI comes out in Beast mode he will show he is much more versatile than Wiggins.
Randle versus Gibson: Randle breakout could be big advantage
KCP vs Butler: Love KCP but Butler is a star
Lopez vs Towns: Towns but Lopez does create a match up problem
I think both teams go to the playoffs.
Love what the Twolves did this off season.
Lakers Bench gets gets the edge if Kuzma is the real deal. |

TWolves are better than us right now because of Butler. He's a legit #1 option and one of the best 2 way players in the league. |

They have a well-rounded team which what makes them good. Not to mention a guy who's well on his way to being the best Center in the league. Butler has always been a Robin. He is not a legit #1. Kobe, KD, MJ, Lebron... those are legit #1s. But relative to today's competition, okay, maybe he is a #1, but that's why I chuckle at people willing to gut the future for Robins like Butler and PG13, thinking you're going to go somewhere with them as your #1. You're not going anywhere just like Chicago and Inidana, who are in the EAST!!
T-Wolves very well rounded, and should make the playoffs now. |

I want to see how our defense is before I count us out. I think we're going to be a lot better than people think defensively and imo because of the style of play were going with our guys are gonna be a lot better than their reputation suggests.
I doubt Luke even spends much time on the offense in training camp...we should be focused strictly on defense. Let Lonzo run the show offensively. |

I think the team with a top 15 guy will make the playoffs this year. |

TWolves. They have a couple of solid vets in Butler and Teague plus nice young pieces as well.
Their vets are a bit more proven and their young pieces a little further along.
I'd be stunned if we had a better record THIS year. |

Man.. EVERY YEAR I keep thinking the Twolves are going to be dangerous. They keep getting these spectacular draft picks and just managed a spectacularly one-sided trade with Chicago. Reason and logic would dictate the Wolves are going to be a competitive team. But every year so far they've come out and played far below their projections. Will this year be different? I'm not sold on Thibs as a head coach anymore. I'm not sold on the Wolves as a defensive team, or a team that can play cohesive on offense.
Butler might be the missing link that makes this all work, but until I see it, it's not a given they make the playoffs this year.
I don't think the Lakers make the playoffs this year either but I think they get close enough to make it interesting. |

Will the pieces fit is always the question with these Timberwolves. Who is the straw that's gonna stir that drink? No doubt they have the talent to make it into the playoffs next season. But I wouldn't be shocked if they underachieved. |

To me, the Wolves are basically 1 year ahead of us. 1 more year of development from Lonzo, Ingram, some of the other youngsters, and another good FA addition and we're about where the Wolves are now (projected wins). My guess (or rather hope) is that the '18/'19 Lakers are better than the projected '17/'18 Wolves _________________ #32 is the greatest Laker ever. |

Per Sina:
Lopez vs Towns Towns defense/Lopez offense wash
Randle vs Gibson Randle stronger /Gibson experience
Ingram vs Wiggins Wiggins slightly ahead now
KCP vs Butler This is where Wolves have an all star
Ball vs Teague who knows?
The Lakers may have a better bench.
Who can do the bench comparison?
The Lakers with the Lopez, KCP, and Ball acquisitions have
moved up to the Wolves. Remains to be seen for both. |
No. They just look better or more developed individually. But, as a team, I don't like their style of play, especially on offensive end. Wiggins, Towns and newly added Butler all like isolation and need the ball on their hand. 3s, mid range, post score...they do all but nothing special well. I anticipate we'll have better chemistry because Ball, Ingram, Lopez all are smart players. They move the ball well and read the game well. |
