Lakers aside, who's made the most intriguing roster changes which may have improved the club the most from 2016-2017 ?

Sacramento
Add: Z-Bo, Vince Carter'Aaron De_Fox, George Hill, Justin Jackson, Harry Giles, Frank Mason 3
Remove: Afflalo, Tolliver, no one else of note

OKC
Add: Paul George
Remove: Sabonis, Oladipo

Boston
Add: Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum. Marcus Morris
Remove: Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk, Amir Johnson

Minnesota
Add: Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Jamal Crawford, Jeff Teague
Remove: LaVine, Rubio, Muhammad,

Houston
Add: Chris Paul, Luc Mbah a Moute,
Remove: Sam Dekker, Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams

It feels as if Minnesota has made the biggest stride forward, an overhaul really and it's a high risk one long term. They are bucking a get-young trend for a win-now-with-veterans roster. Thibs at work. I think they make the playoffs at last, something they haven't done since Spring 2004. Not gonna go far, but I think they improve by twelve-plus wins to 43-39 or better.

Timberwolves will win 50+ with Butler and Towns. Best Guard/Center combo in the entire game.

I say the Sixers, if they stay healthy, followed by the T-Wolves. Even though their talent is young, it is very impressive, and they play in the East.

Getting young for the sake of getting young isn't a long term strategy. Nowadays, you can't count on a group of young players developing and staying together for the long haul. At some point, you have to just go for it, and make moves aimed at winning, which normally requires a mix of young players and veterans.

Embiid is far from a lock to play even 50 games

Simmons hasn't played a game yet.

Fultz is a 19 year old rookie, and 19 year old rookies are almost never good at basketball.

I see them improving, but not dramatically.

I will say the Pelicans. I think they stay relatively healthy and go from 34 wins to 51 wins.

I sure wouldn't bet on him playing a majority of the season. If you look at his Instagram pics, he doesn't look like he's taking the off-season too seriously and has already put on a noticeable amount of weight since he last played.

Did they add anyone of note, other than Rondo? I have a hard time seeing that roster winning more than 40 or so in the West. 51 would be quite an accomplishment.

Looking at just the Western Conference, I am thinking that the Lakers could have the biggest difference in wins vs last season.

The upgrade from MozGoof to Lopez is HUGE,!

While losing DLO's points+assists vs the points+assists that Ball will bring will not be much f a negative difference as some may want to believe.

Last years Lakers, would dribble the ball up slowly, pass it around the top of the key a few times and someone/anyone misses a shot with 4 seconds left..

Next years Lakers RUN the ball up, slash through the key and ball hits the open man for the basket!

I know defensive intensity needs to improve and if it does, coupled with the Lakers running 5-10 more plays per game, coupled with higher percentage shots = Lakers scoring more and holding the opponents to less points!

When they can do that consistently, they will make the playoffs...!
