excellent read. LO just keeping it real. This article needs to be passed on to a lot of people out there. Even people that have never touched a drug before. but people you see/know that have had this much trauma in their lives. all that death that he has seen is too much to be honest. He's like a soldier with PTSD. |

The one thing I didn't know about this whole ordeal was that he was doing coke during his Laker years. He never says how often or how much, but it still surprised me. |

It makes sense considering he had some really great games and then some really bad ones. Using the timeline in the article it sounds like he never really stopped doing drugs even after he was 1 suspension from being kicked out from the NBA. He was just better at hiding it and avoid getting caught. I think his mediocre season in Dallas was when the drugs finally took complete control of his life. |

Thanks for posting that link. That was definitely worth a read if you're a Laker fan. Good to see LO is trying to get his life back together. |

Hope he can keep straight and do his family justice. Lamar is a good and well meaning man who couldn't beat his own demons, up to now. So, here's to pulling for him to beat them now! _________________ Never argue with stupid people! They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!! - Twain |

I'm hoping this dude can keep it together. I've always been a fan, as he's always seemed like a genuinely good guy. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest |

He was my favorite player. I loved how he use to make the game so fun for everybody involved. I use to watch Clipper games just because of him.
I have and will always be a Lakers fan, but Lamar was my favorite player.
I hope he makes big strives and gets back into basketball in one form or another. |

According to the timeline he gave out, he started to do hard drugs around the time he was in Miami. So while he was busted for marijuana twice as a Clipper, his self destructive ways began when he was "resurrecting" his career in Miami. Sounds like he was a functional addict until he became a Mav. |

That was a tough read.
Good to also show that the NBA drug testing process sucks. |

Well either he knew how to beat the system or he only did drugs during the offseason. My guess is he became a hardcore drug user in Dallas versus being a casual coke user in his time in LA and Miami. |

Getting traded to the Mavs was probably the straw that broke the camel's back in Lamar's case. I remember how devastated he was hearing of the news and trying to talk about it. He was almost in tears. He truly loved being a Laker and everything that comes with it |
