It seems like the perception of Blue was (a) ball hog (b) would stunt the growth of our kids, and (3) can't play team ball.

He's evolving and maturing, and I think the deal he received reflects that fact in the eyes of the FO. He really impressed me in the SL with his ability to stay in the team context, and still deliver that scoring he's so noted for. Like this.

Most likely, but good for him nonetheless.

I think so. Rob said this week that we are most likely going to stay at 14 roster spots and leave one open for either a stand out in training camp or in a trade where we take back an extra player.

As easy as 1-2-C.

IV. Myopic gunner with questionable shot selection.

But, yeah, he fit in much better than anticipated in the summer. Definitely caught Magic's eye and surprised him. Kind of glad they had that kind of player on the roster. Gave me a little hope that JC might look better next to Ball.

I know it's not my money but I kinda want to give him guaranteed money. Think after all the years of hard work, he deserved a little bit. If we need to make space for a trade or something we can always waive someone. But yeah it's not my money and it's still around 800k for a minimum deal if I'm not mistaken.

I will be happy if Blue ends up being like Jodie Meeks, that means we will have a additional shooter on the team.

First couple games of Summer League he failed to make the extra pass and tried to do too much, but you could tell as the tourny went on you could see his mindset change and he was making good decisions.

I'm not a fan of ISO scorers in general and even if he never becomes much more than that there's value in a guy that you can just give the ball and say get us a bucket. As long as it's not your primary scorer every possession (Westbrook).

Good signing

He played really well on the Greatest Summer League Team of All Time and I think earned a shot.

He can get to the rim very well, he is a bit like Ramon Sessions?

If it involves Deng (and not Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, Nance Jr)...then I'm all for it.

I'm even ok sending out Randle and/or Clarkson if Deng's name is attached.

Yeah Sessions, also reminds me of a 25 year old Lou Williams.

Congrats to Vander. He surprised me with his 3 pt shooting in SL and his willingness to pass the ball. He had a gorgeous assist to Zubac where he threw the ball behind the line of defense to Zubac who dunked it.
