Last year the Lakers ranked 26th in the league in assists averaging 20.9 per game. To put that in perspective the Warriors ranked #1 averaging 30.4 per game. For reference I listed the top 10 from last year and the bottom 10. I will provide a link at the bottom of the thread for the full rankings of each team. This year where do you think the Lakers will rank in assists?

I said top 5 because Ball will be good for 5 more APG than DLO and his unselfish play will be infectious. The Lakers only need to go up 4 or 5 APG to make the top 5

Houston will be up there with the Paul trade... maybe NO will be because they have two of the top 10 playmakers. The Warriors will still be strong as ever. Spurs might go down. A team leading in assists doesn't mean they will win or make the playoffs... it just is a reflection of a philosophy which judging from the Summer League, we are prepared to execute.

Lonzo's passing is very contagious. I think we're going to see some tremendous ball movement this season.

I voted 11-15. We need more shooters to get into the Top 10.

Passes made per game I think will see a bigger jump.

I just realized OKC ranked 25th. We were pretty much tied with them. I wonder why they were ranked so low.

They can't shoot threes.

I chose between 11-15 because our shooting is still questionable and this is pretty much a new team. It will take time to gel.

For the exact reason why I hope Ball doesn't disappoint so we don't have to sign Westbrook. He's a hard worker but he just isn't efficient and he doesn't really make his team that much better.
