AI was such an amazing player but he seems to get overshadowed by his behavior, off the court problems, "practice? you talking about practice", his volume shooting, etc. he also seemed to have "peaked" at a time when guards weren't the be all/end all (small, quick guards that is). he still played in a big man era mostly and/or he was also overshadowed by kobe.

if you could draft stephen curry or AI today, who would you choose and why?

Curry, easily. Great shooter who can fit into a system. Iverson is a bad shooter who needs to dominate the offense and have it revolve around him.

Iverson had the good fortune to play his career just before people started paying attention to analytics. Curry's career percentage on threes is almost as high as Iverson's career percentage on twos.

If I was building a "team" I would pick Curry....if you pick AI, a good team mate would always pass the ball to AI.

Curry is capable of passing the ball or even a semblance of playing defense. A better comparison would be AI or Kyrie Irving.

You think he can shoot as well with rougher defense?

Really??? C'mon now. I've was never a fan of that fake thug era in basketball. People from all walks of life generally turn to a life of crime due to their environment and lack of opportunities. Millionaires have no business emulating that lifestyle. I hate to say it, but I was happy when he retired.

Curry in a landslide...

Up next, who would you take Reggie Miller or Klay Thompson?

Remember when Chuck drafted Iverson #1 overall in the all time NBA draft?

i would take steph curry even during AI's day.

I loved what AI could do at his size. but lets be real. his jumper was suspect and so was his defense.

AI was one of the most overhyped players in NBA history and he wasn't exactly a good role model. It was a miracle when he shot 45% for an entire season. I'd take Curry anytime.
