Feel free to use this thread to vent your anxiety issues over it.

LLLLOOOONNNNNZZZZZOOOOO BAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, your definitely not the only one. It truly is our dog days of summer. tell you what though, this thread is a helluva lot better than a thread entitled "Byron Scott says he's quitting coaching" or whatever the heck of one of these threads is.

Those are the kind of threads you see in these harsh NBA summer months.

Saw this on reddit. The Atlanta Hawks organist created a song to play during video reviews. Pretty funny.

Here's the youtube link

I found this thread to watch old Showtime playoff games (thanks to JUST-MING's sig). This will help get me to pre-season.

I'm pretty sure a Dodger game will directly conflict with Lonzo's preseason debut. Gonna have to do the two screen experience.

Dodgers are doing great, but I can't watch them. Another month and USC/UCLA football, then NFL, then finally Lakers right around Halloween.

In a way I guess pre-season is already here. I was flying to Las Vegas yesterday and three Lakers were on my flight. They make quite an entrance on to the plane, Larry Nance Jr, Kyle Kuzma and Thomas Bryant. As it happened, Thomas Bryant sat next to me and Kyle Kuzma was directly across from me and Larry Nance Jr was behing Kyle Kuzma. Kyle and Larry were chatting the entire flight and Thomas Bryant was very quiet listening to music. They are going to a camp in Las Vegas and even though there is no coverage these guys are always working and being coached up to be better players. I might add, Thomas Bryant is a giant of a man but the nicest and most polite you would ever meet. Looks can be deceiving but he's a very mild mannered and very soft spoken. Kyle Kuzma is much more vocal and exuberant and Larry Nance Jr just listening and advising.

That's pretty awesome they are working out together. Nance is irreplaceable on this team. He's like the Mayor of Lakerville. He welcomed the new rookies immediately. He took them to play paintball. Now he's working out with them. Bryant & Kuz play the same positions Nance plays, but here he is, showing them the ropes. I hope he's a Laker for life. Or at the very least, take the same career path as Walton. Mostly a Laker, wins a couple of championships. Traded to the Cavs for a couple of years (back to Akron). And then returns to become our coach someday.

Season opener is on October 17, thankfully we will get to see the Lakers play more earlier this year, Preseason is set to begin on Sept 30.

I agree OP. August is tough for basketball fans. I have always loved the playoffs for baseball, plus it's around the same time basketball starts. I used to get excited about football, but as I gotten older I just devote all my time to basketball, and less and less time to football. Basketball fans are smarter than football fans as a whole. And fantasy football is so annoying.

Long story short, I can't wait for the NBA again.

Yea. August is dull.
But we do have the boys in blue with a historic run.
