LaMelo has so many bad habits it's not even funny. His shot selection makes Kobe puke. It's gotten to the point where you can almost guess when he's going to pull up from half court. He needs a coach who will hold him accountable more than a coach who will make him.play D IMO.

He has one. I'm guessing you've never seen LaVar laying into him. He has, and with brutal honesty. The other players probably are happy that LaVar doesn't show favoritism just cause LaMelo is his son.

So what's his excuse for still doing the dumb stuff he does?

He's a young junior who is carrying an inferior team against some of the best AAU teams in the country. He's a stud. I highly doubt he's ever as good as Lonzo but he's really really good.

And it's not like Lonzo didn't have bad habits in HS.

Yep. Way way WAY too early, let the kid be. I don't understand the OP question even coming up at this time, but this jail time stuff in the responses? Geez lay off the kid. Hope he makes a decent college player some day. Then if he does well we can start asking about NBA potential.

if his brother wasnt Lonzo and his dad didnt pressure teams in letting him get the minutes and jack up shots all day, he would be some no-name avg high school player. I'm not seeing any type of special talent from this guy that makes me think he will even make it to the NBA

Dude has to mature his game for at least 2 more years.

Zo in the halfcourt at 15 to 18 was a completely different dude.

LaMelo is a low IQ chucker. He is better at marketing though.

I wonder if Lavar loves all his kids equally.

It's a 15 year old kid and a top hs prospect RIGHT NOW, but there's no way to tell how he will develop in the next few years. For all we know, he's going to grow another 10 inches and become a skilled big man with guard skills like Anthony Davis did. The fact people in this thread are saying he's going to get into drugs and go to jail and all that other mess is disgusting.
