Hard to tell from the video if he was really protecting himself but he did get pushed first it seems.

not clear, but i think Horry made contact, shouldered or something, the dude initially, then the guy turned around and said something and shoved Horry. Both look like idiots being physical @ a youth basketball event.

Attacking a giant when you are a Lilliputian is not generally a good idea.

The other guy is lucky there were people around to break it up or Bob may have applied a real beatdown on him.

I'm with adkindo - based on all the video shows, if you look at the first 2 seconds, you could clearly see Horry push the straw-hat guy in the back, straw-hat turns around confronts Horry and pushes him back. Horry then hesitates, and let's his "where I'm from" get the best of him. lol

Jackasses, both of them.

I see the practicality in those guys who take their shirt off before they fight now. Once big shot snatched on to the dude's collar it was over.

Insightful analysis. I always wondered about that as well.

Yup. Also it gives you time for a prime sucker punch while the other guy is trying to take his shirt off

Inadequate genitalia syndrome.

You'll notice that most of the good people usually either help calm the situation down or walk away from those types of situations.

As you can probably already tell - I feel strongly about idiots hooting and hollering and trying to see someone get hurt.

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school

When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air."

Yup. It's just a fist fight. If all that happens is someone gets a black eye or bleeds a little, there should be no lawsuit. But that ain't happening in this day and age.

I just don't understand why famous people do this. Horry played in the NBA for 10-15 years and endured endless heckling, and one guy comes up to you and baits you, and you go for it? I just don't get it. So dumb.

Looks like the guy throws some at him first though. There ain't even a ref to handle him a tech so it's hard to not to respond.

I don't think it's that hard. Walk away. I don't care what the guy said or whether he "started" it with a push. Horry has everything to lose in that situation, walk away.

Not to mention like someone said, it's a freaking youth basketball event. Parents in youth sports are the worst.

No reason for straw hat to be up in Rob's space like that. Anyone trying kick up dust with a 6'10" former professional athlete deserves what's coming to them.

dont think so. you can't start something and get physical. a push counts. and then try to sue me. doesnt work that way. you can get verbal a bit and possibly win. but the guy wont win a lawsuit. its not going to happen.

He can bring up assault charges. and rob could do the same. they would both be arrested and brought up on said charges. the city will get some change for court fees and what not.

so aside from that. the guy deserved it. and there are times enough is enough. was this that time? perhaps it was.
