The reason I ask is I think Jordan is guaranteed mins Off The bench. The question is if he's a back up PG or SG. Then this article on Hart had me thinking about Hart

"In fact, one could argue that Clarkson and Hart fit together very well just as Ball and KCP seem to complement one another. KCP doesn’t need the ball in his hands and Ball does. By the same token, Clarkson likes the ball in his hands while Hart, in college, was a defensive stopper and three-point shooter much like KCP."

To be honest, I don't.

I actually like the makeup of both guys.
But I like Ennis' ball handling better than Hart's.
I think Ennis will get steady minutes and Hart won't this year.

Hart for me. Ennis feels like a journeyman, while Hart has promise of becoming a key bench cog.

They're different players.

Ennis will be competing for backup point guard behind Ball; Hart for shooting guard minutes behind Caldwell. They're both competing for minutes with Clarkson who can back up either spot.

Because we traded away most of our guard depth, they should both get a shot to do something. I can't say I have particularly high expectations for either of them.

Ennis is the only PG on the roster other than our teenage rookie starter. Hart is probably fifth guard on the depth chart. This year Ennis probably plays here times the minutes of Hart.

I think Hart is going to surprise people with his defense and overall toughness. Ennis is a solid 3rd point guard behind Ball and Clarkson..

Hart by far. I expect someone with an NCAA championship pedigree and acting #1 option for one of the best NCAA teams to show out a bit during rookie year.

I would expect Ennis to be better, he's been in the league for a lot longer. But Hart has a higger ceiling esp over the long term.

I don't see where Ennis' experience has given him strong improvements in different areas of his game.

I don't have high expectations, but last season we have a clue about how a 3rd stringer PG like Ennis can help our team just playing average defense and taking care of the ball avoiding stupid careless turnovers.

They play hard, that is enough for me since they aren't projected to be our main guys.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Hart were better. But I would expect a 3 year NBA veteran to be better than a late 1st / early 2nd round pick. The fact the coaching staff also said they didn't have a PG prior to Ennis' signing tells me he may also be more likely to get the opportunity in terms of PT and role whereas Harts exact role is cloudier for me.

Not concerned about PT, rather, what they bring to the court.

With Ennis, it's like, "Move the ball and don't turn it over."

With Hart, the expectations are a bit higher. "Defend, shoot, finish."

Hmm, I can see that. I suppose its like if you asked the same question on Ingram vs Ball. I would expect Ingram to have a better season due to his experience and role, even if the responsibilities placed on Lonzo are arguably higher.

Is Ennis expected to be the back up PG? I haven't read anywhere that he is.

I expect both to bring something to the table.
Ennis is our back-up PG and will probably get the most playing time so he had better produce.
Hart just needs to play and work hard every opportunity he gets and he will be okay. Hart's time will come.

I suspect training camp and preseason will determine his role to start the season. At this point, that's probably true for most of the guys on the roster.

If he can provide 8-10PPG with solid play making I would say he did a great job as a back up PG.

I'm assuming he is. Luke mentioned, when we had an open roster spot, that we had no other point guards on the roster other than Ball.

Then we signed Ennis.

Thanks. will be exciting to see the development of Tyler Ennis, I think he can be a dependable player for us.

I probably have more expectation on Ennis. He played well for us last season, he knows our system now, and he's been working out with us all summer.

My only expectation for Hart is to not become Anthony Brown. That's all I ask. Hustle, hit some open 3's, & play some D. That's it.

Not expecting anything out of ennis. He's insurance.

Hart I don't know that much about but everyone on his thread say he's a stud so expectations are high

Tough for me to rate my expectations at this point. I like both players and what they "potentially " add to the roster. Actually optimistic about both.

Hart I was high on all through the draft. Think he can be a key rotation player, just not sure if he reaches that as a rookie.

I expect both to have a role and contribute. Exactly how much and how the rotations eventually develops will be just another puzzle piece.

Currently like the five guards. Much more well rounded group then last year IMO. Much will depend on how Ball adjusts and his mpg. I prefer they keep him under 30mpg.

There should be plenty of playing time for Ennis or Clarkson at backup PG. Pope and Hart at SG emphasizing defense, 3pt spot up and motion off ball.

I don't see Ennis having a long-term future.

Hart, he may be the low cost JC insurance this season and def going forward. I think we should find ways to get him minutes.
