Whose minutes are being taken away? Maybe Ennis. But i get the sense that he will get 11-12 mpg to back up the PG spot. |
Ennis shouldn't be getting more than spot minutes unless we decide to tank again. |
So since team Tank Guards was DLO/Lou/Swaggy/JC, do you not want to play JC too? |
JC is a lot better than Ennis. We didn't seem to even want him, we signed him when everyone else turned us down. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

2017-18 Lineup by end of the year.
Forecast 1: Unfortunately, Russell Westbrook has an injury that causes him to miss 60% of the season. OKC is a .500 club with PG leading the team. As whispers of PG leaving for the Lakers in the off-season bubble up in Oklahoma, the Thunder decide to trade PG to the Lakers instead of losing him for nothing. And since they assume Kanter will opt in next year, and they are out of cap space, they decide to take on Jordan Clarkson since they can't sign a better FA. PG to L.A. for JC and Brewer.
Forecast 2: The Pelicans struggle with a lineup of AD and Cousins. Everyone on the team gets along, but every game is a grind. Advanced stats show that the team does slightly better when one of AD/Cousins is off the floor. The twin tower experiment fails in the current NBA and the Pelicans try to trade Cousins to the Lakers in a package centered on Brook Lopez. Surprisingly the Lakers balk on the deal.
Minutes breakdown (averages)
Ball (29) . Ennis (17)
KCP (31) . Hard|Blue (15)
PG (32) . Ingram (29)
Randle (29) . Nance (20)
Lopez (26) . Zubac (12) |

I've thought about that too. Would OKC take JC/Jules for PG13 for example? I know the Indy trade was a double benefit to them b/c they got out of Dipo's ugly deal AND they got PG13. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I think most nights Luke will play 8-10 guys. However no matter how the minutes pan out we need consistency, better shooting and improvement defensively in all areas. |

Brewer will probably get a bunch of minutes at the backup 3, at least for the first half of the season if not longer _________________ Kobe |

No chance OKC would take that deal and no chance we would turn down Lopez for Cousins. Cousins is almost the perfect C for Lonzo... imagine him get looks like Zo was getting Zu all SL.
Lopez is going to be a great fit to but just pointing out that we would never turn down a trade for (arguably) the best C in the NBA. |

You mean the best nutcase loser in the league because that is what Cousins is. Plus we have to pay this moron if we wanted to re-sign him. |

That's why i noted that OKC got a double benefit (likely going to be getting off Dipo's deal). Just was thinking that maybe they wouldn't mind JC at a reasonable 12.5m/year deal if they know that PG13 is leaving, and especially for LA.
If the net trade is trading DIPO and his ugly deal for JC at half the price, not too bad of a transaction IMO. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It makes sense, Julius is also a good player that can help them. That would be a good deal for both teams. |

The only downside is that it would be nearly a 30m/year future deal if Jules gets 18m/year. They got out of DIPO's bad deal, do they want to burn their cap space on these two? It depends obviously on how WB pans out. If he and PG13 are both bailing on OKC, they may elect for a totally clean cap sheet. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

We'll see.
I'm really interested to see how OKC plays this year. Hoping they suck.
I think we balk on cousins if the Lakers are keen on LeBron and PG right? |

I got it mostly right expect for PF and C. There is 21 million reasons why Lopez is not coming off the bench, and Randle is playing for a contract that would be ground for him asking for a trade if you make him come off the bench. |

Post all-star game I think this will be our best defensive lineup and will work with Lonzo's transition game.
There could be better lineups, the data will tell us. I also think our best lineup will include Bogut. |

I'd like to see Nance at the center spot especially if he's gunning for the dpoy.
I hope Lopez and Bogut aren't too upset with their lack of minutes. |

Nance lacked the strength to play the center spot defensively last season, we will see if that has changed. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Here is how I see it
PG: Ball/Clarkson
SG: KCP/Clarkson/BI
SF: BI/Kuz
PF: Randle/Nance/Kuz
C: Lopez/Randle or Nance/Zubac or Bogut
Inconsistent appearances: Brewer/Hart/Ennis
Warming the bench: Deng
Inactive Bryant, Deng, Hart of Ennis
Around 27-32 minutes: Randle, Ball, BI, Clarkson, KCP
15 to 20 Minutes: Kuzma, Nance
10 Minutes: Winner of Zubac and Bogut |
