I do believe in energy, momentum, and the power of fandom support. The game, as I've learned it, is about confidence, trust, and above all else, determination. I believe a home crowd has impact in that area. If I can feed into that optimism, our players will be more motivated to buy in and become the best team they can possibly be. Honestly, that's all I personally can hope for. The days of not being 💯 invested in every moment of every game should be over. |
I don't know what those days are like. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I think that with the addition of Bogut and great rookie prospects we should be able to secure the 8th seed, we may even be able to move up to 7 or 6th, if we get hot... _________________ Hambuger! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast |

I put down $300 in Vegas that the Lakers would make playoffs , I'll win $1,500 if we make it. |

Lonzo said in an interview that the team has "great speed and great length." 6' 9" guys: Randle, Nance, Kuzma, Ingram, and Deng. There is a lot of potential to switch when teams try to expose one guy. Their best defenders KCP, Hart, and Brewer are a little shorter but very capable. The guys who will be on the court with Lonzo are going to make names for themselves this year. It's been a long time since we've seen any team with this many guys open court ability and it should translate into a lot of higher scoring games than summer league did. When Luke wants to feature defense he can use all sorts of combinations to give his team the advantage in height and or speed.
Great speed itself will help win some games; great length will win others; team play, skill, and ability mixed in with the 1st two factors will put them over the top. There's no reason imo, that they won't make the playoffs and be a dangerous team. Teammateswill buy into Lonzo's style and move quickly even when he's sitting.
This team's chemistry, mixed with certain player's improvement is vastly underrated.

It's a shame that the West got so much stronger this year with the influx of all stars. Melo/PG13, Millsap, Butler, etc. Teams that we may have been possibly able to compete with for the 7-8 spots are stronger now. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I still think, in spite of all the migration to the West, it's still going to take around 44 wins to get that 8th seed.
My wild ass guess before seeing training camp is maybe 37, 38 wins or so, 40 with some luck.
But I don't think an 8th seed is out of the question, migration or not, at this stage. Looking forward to Saturday, and seeing these guys actually on the court in competition for once. |

IMO, the playoff accomplishment will likely depend rather 1 or 2 guys are playing at a star level, with All star weekend being in LA next year it would be cool if we have someone on the Lakers representing the team during the AS game. |

Thing is, you have to assume the average case scenario. To guarantee a playoff spot,.you essentially need 45 games.
Can it be done in 40? That's out of our control. But 45 gets you there just about every single time so to believe we can make the playoffs, we need to assume we can win 45. |

I got a strong feeling we can do it. I just get a good feeling about this team. It's well balanced and everyone seems to get along great. |

What's making me upset is, why are Jazz and Clippers still getting respected as a playoff team even though they ended up losing there franchise players and we are still getting disrespected even though we have a marquee talent at the PG position and improvements at the C and SG, I guess that's why it's gonna be fun if we end up proving everyone wrong. |
It's because they still don't believe. |

Lol Clipper Darrell even said we might be better then the Clippers, Jazz can struggle and might barely make the playoffs. |

I just hope we don’t have another injury ridden year =/
Last year we started 10-10 and it was one injury after another.
This year Brook has minor back issues, Hart has a hamstring issue and Bogut’s coming off a fractured tibia that happened on a close out.
Even though non of these are serious (hope Brook’s back spasm doesn’t become an issues later in the season)... I want this team to be healthy from the start & build momentum from the get-go. |

I love the depth they have at every position except pg. I believe they could have an injured key player and still do very well...except Ball. If healthy they're going to show us something special. |

It's possible, but everything would have to break right....i.e. Lonzos games translates well to the NBA, Randle and Ingram have great seasons, Brook and Bogut bring what they can bring at the C spot, etc
At the very least I think we will definitely cement ourselves as one of the best up and coming teams |

I am optimistic they can compete for a playoff spot. IMO it will come down to how much and how quickly the team gels together. Will they develop a chemistry not just on the offensive side but on the defensive even more so.
I think they have the depth of players and solid mix of vet and young players on the roster to have a special year. Much depend on the buy-in. Will the players believe in their coaches and teammates or simply see themselves as the bridge to next year's free agency that the FO, media and fans continue to express more interest in.
IMO it matters. Will they work hard together or be too concerned with the distraction of trade rumors and "2 max" speculation?
Because of the depth of the West I could see a .500 team winning the 8th spot. Have to think the top of the conference will beat up on the lower. Wins for the lower rungs will come against each other in the bottom of the conference and the East. The team that can eek out the most tiebreakers may slip into that 8th spot.
Why not the Lakers! |

I'm thinking that we are more likely in the 31-35 win pocket.
I think we have improved from last year. Several major factors:
1. How good will a 19/20 year old Lonzo/Ingram play?
2. will we trade Deng/JC/Jules (any number of them)?
3. Will Brook/KCP be traded at the deadline? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I'm with you brotha. That was my lofty, errant prediction for last season's squad. The only thing I can be more certain of is that this season we'll be more entertaining. _________________ We back. |
