The problem for Jules b/c of the issues you noted, was that Moz's or Hibbert's man would often drop to contest Jules at the rim.
With Brook, you aren't leaving him open for a jumper, period. |
So he has more to room to work. The inverse is that if you put Brook in the post, which I think they should quite a bit (he's the best scorer on the team), Randle's not a threat to make open shots so they can collapse on Brook. Now if you put Kuzma out there...

I think if Brook/Jules are together, Brook is playing out.
If they want Brook inside, I could see Kuz playing PF to stretch the floor.
And so on. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Agreed. I just think the pairing of Lonzo and Brook is too dynamic to force him mainly into an outside spot-up shooting role, nor has Randle shown he's good enough inside to warrant it. |

But the point is Brook is versatile enough, whereas Moz/Hibbert left a lot to be desired on offense. Was like adding fuel to Jules' weakness fire. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The 3 players I'm most looking forward to this season on the Lakers:
1. Lonzo
2. Ingram
3. Brook.
Brook is a really good player. Have been watching him on the Nets for a long time. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Oram:
Quote: | Bogut also gives the Lakers insurance against the health of Lopez. Lopez, 29, has been remarkably durable in recent years, appearing in at least 72 games four out of the last five seasons. However, he has dealt with back issues this summer that could cause him to miss part of the preseason. |

Ugh. Back issues for Brook is not something I wanted to hear. Hopefully they're minor. It would suck to still suffer the injury bug in a year where we lose our pick no matter what. |

Just FWIW, most of the recent vids of Laker players working out included Lopez, he's been shooting in work out videos, that's far from a guy with back issues, seems like if Oram is right then it must be really minor cause Brook has been going full boar with the players. |

Like I mentioned, Lopez has been going full press during work outs it seems like the issue is minor or else he would have sat out during work out sessions. |

Ah, Bogut. That classic insurance policy against injury. |

Popcorn Machine: Special Guest Brook Lopez
Quote: | Brook Lopez has dreamed of playing for the Lakers since his childhood of watching Magic Johnson lead Showtime. The team’s new center joined The Popcorn Machine to talk about joining the purple and gold, elevating his game over the offseason and playing with Lonzo Ball. |

Yes because the preseason games that Lopez might miss is so enticing for Bogut. |

Cool. I hope he will take a hometown discount and sign for Room Exception next year so that he can stay here longterm. |
