Hello Cav's...

What's actually funny is that the Lakers culture and environment is much better then the Cavs right now, I don't think fans are voting no because of your take, they voted no because they think he wouldn't make a difference and he's better off going to Miami were he can excel in a place he started his career.

I also think we are passing on Wade cause of something possibly in the works, emplay said the Shabazz signing will open up another move possibly.

If Lebron leaves nobody will be signing for the Cavs for a long time......

But Lebron hasn't left and players know Cleveland is the route to the Finals.

There is no guarantee they will get pass the Celtics much less the Wizards and Raptors.

A good breakdown of Wade potentially signing with the Lakers

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nX6HvSH7Klg

1 thing that has me excited is the fact that so many guys want to join us, first it was KCP then it was guys like Rondo and now Shabazz and Wade, im pretty certain the Lakers are gonna change the NBA landscape next summer, everyone wants to join in on the new Lakers era of basketball.

Curious if you actually watched the projections?

Adding Wade this season and using the simulation projected 44 wins for the Lakers. Sounds great.

Then he added James and the simulation gave the Lakers only 43 wins. Found it funny how the "host" just kept on going and glossed over a fairly significant point.

I am not a big believer in these kinds of simulations or put too much emphasis on their results. IMO there is a reason they play the games. In some cases to prove the exception. I don't necessarily agree with this one just found it funny how it did not get the results expected.

He did admit that getting LeBron will result in greater projections.

That was a terrible breakdown. He basically went through it and then said how unreliable it was. Lol

One of my pet peeves is when lazy individuals covering the NBA don't actually watch the games and go strictly off name. Wade is nothing more than a bench player now that can give a few minutes. Anyone who did watch last season could see he's close to being done. He's not a guy that's going to catapult the lakers to 44 wins...grrr

Admittedly I hardly watched any of the Bulls games until their first round matchup against the Celtics, and Wade really looked washed up. Heck even Rondo played far better than he did.

Agree with this. Lakers, for the most part, have not signed many old guys that helped (MacAdoo being one. Thompson being another.) They take up too much time on the floor and ink (in the papers.) Wade could help a contending team, but having him average 12-16 points and log 26 minutes isn't helpful at this stage of the development of the younger players and the team.

Don't forget trading for the ashes of Steve Nash (Steve Ash). The Lakers also signed Kobe Bryant for 2 years/48m. Both over the hill at that point.

With Peter Vescey breaking the LeBron to Lakers news, I wonder what are the odds Wade comes here so he can play with LeBron next year rather then potentially go to a Cavs filled drama season with LeBron moving next summer, this can be big if Vescey is right.

If Vescey is reporting it then I am now less optimistic about it happening. Why is this guy emerging from his cave all of a sudden.

The thing is he's not the only one reporting it, everyone seems to think it's a done deal, especially if you read the Space Jam theory.

Did you think this thru?

You are saying Wade should sign with the Lakers (easily a bottom 10 team next season) and "hope" that LeBron comes here the year after, really, does that even sound remotely logical?

When Wade could sign the exact same 1 year contract with the Cavs and possibly win a ring next season...

And then sign with the Lakers if LeBron does...

I said the same exact thing to him. I guess nothing came out of it...

You know if Wade did sign here this season, it would (bleep) the development of some of our key youths...

And who's time would he be eating away at if he played backup 2 for us? Josh Hart? The knowledge Wade could pass on to our youth in their rookie seasons and otherwise would be extremely helpful towards their development AND Wade has something left in the tank as well.

The only youth he's gonna be playing over is Hart, Wade absolutely makes sense right now, because we wanna get as much wins as possible and we need to attract a FAs by winning games.
