Well placed FNC sources tell TMZ ... Eric Chase died from a drug overdose. We're told he was having a hard time dealing with the trouble his dad was having at the network. Our sources say he was extremely embarrassed by the stories and was "emotionally upset."

This is entirely too tragic, regardless of how you may feel about Bolling etc.

There is a young man that was on my daughter's swim team and Junior Lifeguard class. Great kid. Everyone associated with the team, players and parents alike, are fond of him.

A couple of years ago (when he was about 13 or 14) his father got arrested when a young woman at the private girl's school he was a teacher at came forward to say that he had molested her and coerced her into things she wasn't comfortable with (to be as delicate as I can).

Ever since then I have been concerned for this young man and the rest of his family. I can't imagine what that kid had to be experiencing. My father was a prominent private school educator, so I get how such a public scandal is a big deal even within that community, but when it plays out in the news . . . it must be devastating to have your parent branded as a social pariah. Last I heard the young man was doing ok as far as everyone knows, but still. This story stirred up that concern for my daughter's friend.

Just plain awful. Every parent's nightmare. My sympathies to the family.
