Definitely not a starting line-up, but that's a small-ball line-up I want to see at some point. Would really like to see Nance develop the ability to anchor at the 5. |
Nance or Randle as the main back up at center would be nice. BL is a big guy who has had some injuries in the past. I think in a 82 game season the less minutes on his body the better. |

I like it. It's the perfect fast break line-up. We suffer on the defensive end with dominant bigs, but there aren't that many of them. On offense, Ingram would kill the opposing team's center/pf.
It's almost like a younger version of Golden States's most effective line-up:
Kuzma vs Klay
Ingram vs KD
Nance vs Draymond
Ball vs Steph
KCP vs Iggy |

Spacing might be an issue. Only Kuzma looks like a reliable shooter (pending Ingram's improvements). I do like the versatility though.
Also, zero rim protection. Not good. |

Sure if ...
-Nance could play make/defend/ annoy like Green
-Ingram could score more than 9 points per game
-Kuzma was one of the greatest shooters in the NBA and could defend the
best players
-Ball had played a few seasons and showed hes a generational player
(Steph)
-KCP was an all NBA caliber player coming off the bench
other than that the line ups are just alike |

Anyone who thinks Nance is a starting center in the NBA, must be a soccer fan... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

will work great vs small ball teams. will be an issue vs teams with decent normal sized centers. or anyone that can push nance around in the paint.
I could see Kanter tearing Nance up and making Kuzma double, then all hell breaks lose. swing swing, for 3... all because we had no chance in hell of slowing kanter. who is a true big man, that has capable post moves and is a strong guy. |

BALL
KCP
INGRAM
KUZMA
LOPEZ | This lineup is going to end up being your best all around lineup. sorry Julius.
I mean lets take a look at that lineup closely.
Ball- playmaker, semi spacing if the 3 is hitting a hint, drive and kick, past the post for the setup. tall guard means he can see over his defender and make any pass and take any shot he wants without being bothered. very good team defender. can switch on all pick n rolls due to his height/length. can grab the board and start the break due to his height. above average athlete
KCP- floor spacer, defender. above average athelte
BI- iso scorer/playmaker, can grab the board and start the break.great length for man defense and excellent length and anticipation for team defense.
Kuzma- runs the floor like karl malone in his prime, is a very good man defender, aggressive defender. based on the SPL. another floor spacer with his 3 ball.
Lopez - True Center on the block(strong, has the right size). not fast but so what kuzma is already down court. you dont need two guys doing the kuzma. solid shot blocking center and lane clogger. good post moves on the block if you just need 2 points. can shoot freethrows well for a big. and can hit from three..another floor spacer.
3 floor spacers (Lopez, Kuzma, KCP...maybe 4 if ball starts hitting)- 2 stretch bigs. one that can take his man off the dribble in kuzma.
1 post up guy kinda. BI will post up his guy too at times.
2 playmakers (BI & Ball)
3 to 4 real defenders with kuzma, Bi, lopez, and kcp (worse case scenario one perimeter defender-kcp and one in the post -lopez)
we can run and hit the break...
The rebounding we might lose with kuz and lopez we gain at the SF and PG spots with ball and BI being so much taller/longer then their guy at their position.
Now Julius Clarkson off the pine. Remember that bench squad that was tearing the nba up. that was without randle. you add him in there. our bench might be great again. with a better starting lineup. shoot, ladies and gentlemen...we just might make the play.....
i wont say it. |

Ball
KCP
Ingram
Deng
Lopez
I love our young guys but I think you give Deng one more chance.
Maybe the first 10 games to see if our defense can be much better. Then I'm good with a change |

I don't think we see this inexperienced lineup this season
Smallball lineup will be:
Lonzo
KCP
Ingram
Nance/Kuz
Randle
...but just for the record: I don't like smallball _________________ White guy to white guy alley oop |

Seeing as brook lopez is our best player, it's terrible
Lonzo
KCP
Ingram
Randle
Lopez
For sure
Kuz won't get many minutes to start out with...but as soon as Randle or Deng either get traded or Nance gets hurt, we will start to log some PT. With how fragile Nancy is, it may only be a handful of games before he's playing 10-15 minutes a game. |

Our starting lineup will be:
Ball
Pope
Ingram
Randle
Lopez
Off the bench will be:
Clarkson
Kuzma
Nance
Bogut and Zubac will compete for the backup spot (I really think they become less effective if they split time)
So that is a 9 man rotation, which I think works out very well minutes wise for each player. |
