Jerry was a consultant, not a decision maker. He gave his input into future moves and it was reported he was a mentor to Meyers. Once he felt that Meyers was fine on his own, he moved on. No one person is responsible for personnel moves in most situations. That is one thing that is great about Warriors management, it is a team effort. If only Laker management would bring in an experienced basketball mind.

West gave advice and helped recruit players like Durant. He didn't have the type of role where you can give him credit for exact moves.

I reckon we fans - hell, all outsiders of the club's management team itself - can never know those things to an exactitude.

He was the wise person that gave his opinions.

* Was for the Monta - Bogut trade

* Was for drafting Klay Thompson

* Was against trading Klay Thompson for Kevin Love

* West was on the committee that suggested the rules changes that shifted the game away from low post play. So he had better insight than most on how rosters should be shaped for that change

* Some credit for the Warriors drafting Draymond Green in the second round

Some good reads:

Kawakami: Jerry West’s departure for the Clippers is a loss, but he helped change the Warriors

I hate the fact he's with the clippers I loathe that organization so much. I just hope Blake has a repeat of last year performance
