Loan with a purchase option. This appears to be more FPF gamesmanship. |

After looking at the roster, that PSG team is not very balanced and top heavy.
They'll score plenty of goals, but let's see how they handle injuries and when they face tactically disciplined teams.
One more day until the window closes in Spain.
I'm disappointed Madrid didn't get a striker, even if it's a short-term loan deal. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

PSG is putting itself in an awkward position. If someone upsets them in the quarterfinals of the UCL, the whole season is a disaster. They cannot redeem themselves by winning the league or the domestic cups. Think about that. It might still be a disaster if they lose in the semifinals. |

Now that Rooney is retired as a international, he needs to find a designated driver. |

UEFA is apparently launching an FFP investigation. A fine would be useless considering the owners are swimming in money. If they broke the rules, they need to lose that buy option for Mbappe and a transfer ban. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

UEFA has no choice in the matter. The media has been talking about how PSG found a loophole in the FFP rules. This makes a mockery of the whole thing. UEFA needs to determine exactly how PSG is going to justify this, and either close the loophole (if valid) or bring down the hammer (if not valid). |

Disagree. Barcelona didn't win UCL first season with Neymar. Man U didn't finish top 4 in PL after signing Pogba. Do you consider those transfers disasters?
If Neymar-led PSG finally make the semis, that's not a failure because that shows progression. If they do win the UCL, Neymar auto-wins the Ballon D'Or and Mbappe will be a legend at 19. |

Yea PSG is too offensive. Their defense always pushes up with Alves & Kurzawa and their midfield, though stacked, is similarly offensive. They'd be scary af if they had a Casemiro/Kanté/Matic-caliber DM.
You think Madrid needs another striker? They signed a CF in the transfer window, no?I just wish RM sold Bale and started Asensio alongside Ronaldo (when suspension is over) and Benzema in attack. How Bale fits is becoming a distraction to the team imo, and there are several bench players that can start should that roster spot open up (Theo, Vasquez, Ceballos, Llorente). Rough start to the season for RM so far. |

We have two strikers on the team, Benzema and Mayoral. One is struggling and just got injured and will miss six weeks, and the other is an unproven, young prospect that was brought back after being on loan at Wolfsburg.
Our early struggles are a direct consequence of bad finishing by our attackers, chiefly Benzema.
The plan is to have Ronaldo play as striker or some sort of false 9 for the rest of the season, but if he gets injured or suspended, as he is now, we can't score goals.
I was hoping for a Chicharito-type short term singing, even a loan, but the team felt the team was good enough. We'll see.
Our midfield is playing great most of the time, dominating possession, and creating chances, but Benzema and Bale can't finish. Let's hope Ronaldo will finish those when he comes back. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

Seriously? I don't see how you can compare the Neymar and Mbappe deals to either of those other deals. More importantly, you skipped over the more important point: PSG cannot redeem itself domestically. It's UCL or nothing. |

He's been the odd man out lately at BVB. He has the familiar problem of being a young player who can play multiple positions and who winds up getting moved around a lot. Guys like that often wind up playing in a position that is less than optimal. In this case, BVB has been playing him on the left wing. |

He's only 19. Much like Rashford, guys around that age will be played in multiple positions. Marcus is probably best as the main striker, but he's got no shot playing every match with Lukaku and Zlatan ahead of him. Suppose the same is true for Pulisic with Aubameyang, Yarmolenko, and Phillip. The only teenager who'll get regular playing time at a top club is Mbappe and he's on another level. _________________ Character
