LeBron said he won't give energy during the season to discussing free agency. "It's my obligation to go about (the season), I'll approach it when the offseason comes."

LeBron James on Kyrie Irving: "I was ready to give him the keys...I tried to help him be as good as he could be...I don't have any advice for him now, you're either with us or against us...it was a gratifying three years together." He said he hasn't communicated with Irving since trade

No one asked him about the Lakers rumors, boo. Great job by Lebron, though, he shut the free agency talk down real quick.

Let it be. We have an exciting year to see Lonzo and Ingram and the kids play (as well as vets like Brook, KCP, Bogut, etc).

1 basketball year feels like an eternity but it'll be fun to get there.

There's no mistake though. Lonzo and company have to ball out or these 2 max level players won't pay any heed to the Lakers next year.

Reportedly the Cavs not returning the Knicks calls regarding Melo, one of Lebron’s good friends.

Keep a close eye on the Wade situation if he goes elsewhere after LeBron has been reportedly recruiting him then that is the end of LeBron as a Cav.

No, it means he's supporting his home team team and the team he's currently in contract with, if LeBron gives any sort of hint about his departure, he will have a dark cloud on his Cavs season all year long.

Lebron was shown a 2014 quote where he said he wanted to retire a Cav and said that hasn’t changed. No comments on between now and retirement day.

Agreed. But I think Houston would have to be the favorites if hes willing to play a smaller role. He gets to play with a member of banana boat crew and win a lot of games. If he signs with us then our chances to sign Lebron next summer go up.

LeBron James has Dwyane Wade starting, he has Kevin Love, he has Isaiah Thomas

He has Derrick Rose, JR Smith and Jae Crowder coming off the bench.

There is NO EXCUSES for LeBron this year, there is no "We don't have enough, I don't have enough." this year. If LeBron doesn't get it done, I don't wanna hear any excuses whatsoever about him, or his team. The Cavaliers have gone above and beyond to give him what you could argue is the most complete team he's had.

So there's no room for excuses or "Cleveland didn't give me enough" blaming now.

? None of those guys are all that great.

Just curious, which Lakers would you trade for the #2, #3, and #4 options on the Cavs?

That will tell you everything you need to know about how good you really believe they are.

Wade's just an addition.

LeBron has Isaiah Thomas and Kevin Love, he has Wade in addition to all that.

He also has Derrick Rose, Jr Smith and Jae Crowder coming off the bench.

There's no room for excuses this season or "I don't have enough." that's all I'm essentially saying. That means from ESPN to otherwise.

This ain't the year for "He doesn't have enough." excuses and as much as I hate the Cavs, they've put essentially everything around him and then some. Having Thomas and Love along with Derrick Rose, JR Smith and Crowder off the bench was enough as it was, but they got his best buddy Wade there too.

Also the "corpse" of Dwyane Wade was still an 18 ppg scorer last season... so yeah. That's a pretty lively one.

I'm not trading kids with a high upside not even a year into their careers for guys in their late 20s that have about 2-3 years left in their prime. That has nothing to do with "how good" they are, it has to do with how they're building vs how we're building.

So no, not as strawman or black and white.

I can do the same thing.

Who on our bench is better than Derrick Rose, JR Smith or Jae Crowder? And that should tell you all you need to know.

See what I mean?

When it comes down to it, LeBron has the best pieces and depth you could ask for in the East. Thomas and Love are legitimate all-stars and impact players, they just added Wade who despite being a "corpse" was an 18 ppg scorer last year. And as their 6th men, they have Derrick Rose, JR Smith and Jae Crowder.

That's some serious depth and probably the best team LeBron could ask for. Do you disagree with that?

If they're healthy that's gonna be the case for the next 2-3 seasons regardless of what team we build, so that's irrelevant to the fact. All that would do is show that we won't be able to sell "You have a better chance to win a Championship here" as an idea because then you have to throw on "once the Warriors get old" at the end of it. Which is not really what you want to hear or do.

If I'm a Cavs fan, I'm not sure how I feel about adding 2 guys who think they're stars but aren't anymore (Rose/Wade). IT being out until January (maybe more) is concerning too as they lack shooters with Rose/Wade (and defense, though IT sucks at that).

Plus, it doesn't matter. You can win the ECF, but no team is ready to take down the Warriors sans injuries.

It doesn't tell you (bleep).

Disregarding potential, I would trade anyone on the roster for Love or IT. But potential is a thing and that's why BI is Mr. Untouchable and Ball is pretty much our franchise player without playing a single minute. Magic wouldn't trade those two for Paul George. Does that mean they are better now than PG? Nope. Not even close.

Cavs are stacked, again. Yet another super team for LeBron.
