Misleading title.
"Fired" and "unpaid administrative leave" are two different things. It very well may lead to a firing, but that's not the case as of yet. _________________ ...in my opinion. |

The UAL route is often the employer's preferred immediate response to insulate the company from further short term incidents and liability following news of a workplace incident or an investigation's start. Gives them time to gain better understanding of the facts surrounding the basis for an expected termination for cause. Typically, it's also a hedge against unfavorable outcomes in the event of subsequent wrongful termination actions that may taken by the ousted guy. |
