All of the parks/zoos will be fun. But Disneyland/California Adventure is by far the best option. Go during the week and it wont even be that crowded

Never been to Disney during weekdays. I am planning to take my kids on either a tuesday or wednesday and hopefully they dont have to wait a long time for the rides.

Don't get your hopes up. Just make sure to take full advantage of the rides that have fastpass.

Also, I would make sure to be there when the park opens and do either Peter Pan or It's a Small World first. They don't have fastpass and the lines are always ridiculous.

depends on the ages and height of your kids. When my daughter was 9 she already didnt care for "kiddie" rides and was tall enough to ride just about everything at Six Flags.

I think we'll go with LEGOLAND. Talked it over with the kids and they think that's the most fun.

Make sure you scour the web for cheap tickets. There's plenty to be had.

Don't know about that, but I know that if you buy online at the website the tix are cheaper than if you buy at the park. I think they also have deals for like a 2 for 1 type thing to the water park or aquarium.

LEGOLAND is great for kids

Completely agree. Of course I am biased because I live locally, but Legoland in Carlsbad is low key, really interactive and cool for children of your ages.

Not for more thrill seeking teens but great for kids, you can even stay at the Sheraton next door and go in through your own "private" back gate entrance.

Disneyland seems like it'll be a crowded, constantly waiting in line experience. Is LEGOLAND like that?

An other alternative is to do a SD Zoo/Sea World day. My kids love that too.

Groupon sometimes has it. AAA and Costco definitely has it. It'll take some digging but eventually you'll find some group you belong to that has those tickets cheap (i.e. in my case, UCLA Alumni get about 10-15 bucks off.
