| Gotta give it up to Luke and the coaching staff for coming up and executing a great training camp. From the bits and pieces of video out there, it looks like everyone is getting a lot of reps in a very compressed schedule. I think our offense will really flow this year because of Magic 2.0. Players just gotta play D and we're in the playoffs. |

| Just realized that the first preseason game is this Saturday. WHAAAT!! I've been so busy lately. Lakers basketball is back finally. |

Plus every preseason game and the season opener will be on NBA TV, ESPN or TNT. That's crazy for us out of staters. |

Lonzo will be the primary guy for transitions, of course, but once in a while, it can be Julius, even with Lonzo filling the lane, why not? It will make things harder for the other team.
In a League where Draymond Green and Kevin Love are 2 of the top transition guys, it makes no sense saying "if you are a 4 or 5, give the ball to the PG". Having coached Green, Luke knows it better than anyone.

With the possibilities of the Lakers making moves later down the road, it's smart to cast as wide of a net and get a long look at some of the players that are on the training camp squad. Who knows if we may need to bring in a player or two later in the season.

Meh. I watched the interview and That quote was a little out of context. Luke was saying that he wants Julius and Nance to get the ball to the PG for now to get them used to that since they already know how to push the ball up themselves (especially Randle) and he wants them to learn to just fill the lanes. He'll set them loose later. |
Coaches do this all of the time to reinforce something they're working on. For example, a coach might say "either 5 passes or a layup" in a half court setting, or else the basket doesn't count. |
for me personally, I would prefer they just give it up to Lonzo (or a guard)....Randle scares the bejeezus out of me dribbling in the open court...he "appears" out of control rumbling down the court. |

amazing how thin information has been at this camp. You get snippets here and there and there seems to be a lot of press access but... not much to sink your teeth into yet. We're only on page 24 for this thread so far, we'll probably do 24 pages in about 10 minutes during a game!  |

did seem like there was more "content/news" during last years camp....I mean we were getting DLo's and Randles bathroom conversations and everything |
