Walton said Zubac looks “great”, has gotten his body fat % down to 8%, when it was at one point in the high teens. Team calling him “8%.” |
|
Good job, 8%!!! |
That was also his PER during Summer League. |
He averaged 10.9 and 5.4 and 1.1 blocks in 20 minutes per game. You guys are condemning him for those numbers while doing the opposite for others.
Interesting technique |
not sure who "you guys" is referring to, but in my opinion, Zubac looked like crap during Summer League. |
I'm doing that whole thing on LG where we lump everyone into the same hoop. |
Haha. Yea, who's "You Guys"?
I'm talking about his body fat and clearly Adkinkos/Fedex was just joking. |

I agree - good article GT! This is a great reminder of what Zu did excel at last year, and what he can offer this year. The screen setting and mid-range touch were great surprises. I hope he is improving on P&R defense, we'll find out soon.
'Mr. 8%' - good nickname to earn. |

Though Bogut is Australian, his parents are Croatian and he grew up speaking the language at home. It's his mother tongue as much as English. _________________ .... |

So GT... now that you're best friends with Zu... how long until you have "the talk" with him?

Good first half and not bad second half. He has to learn to stop fouling. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Well I wasn't too impressed with his helpside defense. I don't know if it's conditioning or what but there were a few times where he was in position to contest shots near the basket and just didn't. This was after offensive rebounds, but it was pretty disappointing to see him totally uninvolved. Hopefully Bogut gets on him about that. |

As a female I noticed that Zu is quite good looking now that he lost the fat. His face really changed....for the better. |

He still seems a little slow footed defensively on rotations and in closing out at the basket. And he also seems a beat too slow on his passes and creating, but I think he can improve that with pro level competition. That said, I'd say his post-SL off season plan was a success because he does look 50x better than the last time we saw him. He still kinda moves around like a puppy out there, but as he continues to gain more athleticism and experience, I can still see him as our possible center of the future. _________________ In Rob I trust. |

Zubac still growing into his body, but the better shape it gets into the more you see those improvements in his speed and even reaction time. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

He went from 'can't even lay up a shot in SL' to dunking over Georgie Dieng and blocking shots. The personal stuff must have been real during the summer |

He looked GOOD! Great job from GT to point out those nice hard hedges. Beautifully done. Excited for this kid after SL disappointed me. |

It turns out his horrible summer league play was the best thing to happen to Zu. 8% is ready! |
