Maybe it's because our offense that resembles a bunch of wanna be superstars who haven't learned anything after years in the league

Edit: I also think Luke is not the right coach for our team as of right now. Too buddy buddy, just not what our young guys need

My dude, there's 105 points on the board to the Nuggets bench with 9 minutes to go in the 4th.

And we have 79, maybe our defense wouldn't look as bad if we could put up points?

Kinda hard to be in the game when only one player can create for himself and the others clank open shots, blow layups, or make dumb decisions.

For sure they're correlated, but I'd say right now our awful defense is preventing us from running easy stuff in transition and god knows we have no halfcourt execution.

We need talent, specifically talent that fits with Lonzo

Kuzma at the 4. Lopez at the 5. Voila.

You don't surround a generational passer with a brick house like Randle.

Whew, this looks like a very long season. We cant play defense, cant shoot, and make horrible decisions. I was so looking forward to actually enjoying some games again. This is hard to watch.

Maybe Lopez, Bogut, BI, and Lonzo help, but this is looking bad fellas.

I'm going to hope that Lopez along with Lonzo and Kuzma will save our season. Luke better have starting lineup of Lonzo/KCP/Ingram/Kuzma/Lopez for regular season. When our bench comes in, I'll just change the channel.

Lonzo/Hart/Ingram/Kuzma/Lopez would be nice if Ingram reverted to a spot up shooter.

Seems no different than the last couple of seasons. People got all excited in the preseason, imagining all the young guys would turn into instant superstars and then reality set in.

Pretty much everyone outside of Laker Ville thought our team would suck this year. Personally, I am only looking for incremental Improvement in the young players, not an amazing instant transformation. Our team is filled with guys who have historically not been good Defenders or good shooters. The notion that ball would instantly change that was just wishful thinking

Bad defense leads to half court offense against a set defense, which leads to bad offense.

As of right now there's one guy on the team who can hit threes and that's rookie Kyle Kuzma. You've got Lopez once he's healthy and hopefully Lonzo improves throughout the season.

And that's it. Two, maybe three guys are reliable from 3.

Plenty of middling/playoff contending teams have terrible defense but good offense. Like Portland & Denver last year. That's how a lot of good teams start. I can't really think of any modern teams without good shooters really killing it.

All this bad offense vs. bad defense talk. I don't want you guys to overlook. We're bad at rebounding as well!

Every year at the start they say they're focusing on defense. Remember a couple of years ago when Clarkson said halfway through the season that they hadn't really practiced defense yet? ...... same thing now probably

Defense is all about communication and positioning. Clarkson for example moves completely wrong. And there is definitely barely any communication

as a team our defense is terrible, but there are individuals that show some defensive spark and if we can turn that into a total team effort we will be in good shape.

Uhm, our defense is horrible... But we need to find chemistry on the court and that starts with Zo. If our players can't run and gun with him, then they shouldn't be on the court. Kuzma has been the only player capable of really filling the lanes with Zo so far during summer and he's doing it now in preseason without being on the floor at the same time as Zo.

I'm sure a change will come, we have to get Lopez in the mix before any decisions can be made. Zo as of now is obviously the cornerstone piece for this team.
