Pathetic to make this thread after Game 2 of the preseason . . .

Agreed. It's not like this team has been together for several years like the Warriors or Spurs. A good deal of our talent is still undeveloped. Plus, one thing it takes to be a good defensive team is experience and putting those reps in so that they know instinctively how to stop certain offensive plays and sequences.

I don't see any logic in sounding the alarm after 3 PRESEASON games.

Someone's in denial..

I will spell it out to you..

We have no choice but to wait another several years.

Because this team is going to be bad this year.

I hope i'm wrong of course, but we are experiencing the curse of the 2nd pick in the draft syndrome.

DLO, Lonzo, BI.

Simmons looks the real deal, Karl Anthony Towns the real deal, Fultz the real deal.

We picked the 2nd pick and again we got a guard the 3rd best guard in the draft.

Dennis Smith Jr, Fox and Fultz are better than Ball IMO. They can score do not have crooked jump shot.

Well you don't have to worry about the number pick this year because the Celtics will get it if it lands there again. So we just helped the Celtics get closer to a title. Also you knew Futlz was out of reach because you knew he was going to get picked first same thing with Simmons and Towns. The Lakers cam't control the lottery odds, and if the Lakers had lose a few more games then we would had gotten a nuumber #1 pick. Also if we had wanted Smith and Fox we would had to trade down for them because Ball will be gone at two regardless.

Agreed however the GM and coach should keep it down about guys being in the gym all summer, about the focus being on defense and the ridiculous reference to Taylor Swift or Drake. How when we see these guys it will be like “nothing we’ve seen before”. Stop feeding people what you think they want to hear

Rather hear hey look, we have a young team. We have a long way to go. Ingram may have changed his shot but he was HISTORICALLY bad last year. Clarkson isn’t going for 6th man, he’s really working on his defense and passing out of the pick and roll. Randle has been shooting but he has a long way to go to be a modern stretch big. Just stop with the sugar coating. Mitch was a lot things but at least he didn’t feed us bulls**t

I'm not in denial about us not making the playoffs this year. What I'm saying is that we can't sound the alarm about the development of Ball, Ingram, Randle, etc. after just 3 preseason games. Let's give it at least a few weeks into the regular season before we start drawing conclusions on what they'll be or won't be.

After 1 game Fultz scored a grand total of 4 points on 15% shooting. Simmons is averaging 7 pts on 31% shooting after 2 games. Looks like so far they're struggling with their shooting as much as, if not more than Ball is.
