Kuzma and Lonzo playing a ton of min together that should be a given at this point.

I think there's something to this. He may be training too hard.

Maybe it's the training but I doubt it's the weight. He still looks wispy out there.

Yes, I think he can still gain weight. But maybe his diet and regimen is draining him. I don't know. He does look slower to me.

He wasn't make those shots last year either....Some of you guys really had rose colored glasses on while watching Ingram play last year.

I'm good with Randle and Ingram coming off the bench. Let them develop.

Jesus Christ... he changed his release you dimwits! That's gonna have an effect on his shot at least until December. Let the guy play.

Key takeaways imo:

1. Randle played a great game
2. Defense compete level was solid
3. Shooting and turnovers are going to be problem areas this season (we knew that)
4. Half-court offense can be so frustrating. When they move the ball, they show flashes of good stuff but then they stand around, ball stop, iso, etc.
5. Caruso’s NBA destiny is to own Sacramento

Kuzma starts this season, he's gonna average 14-15PPG

Kuzma is going to need to start...he is miles ahead of Ingram in terms of everything basketball related. I don't know how the FO and magic specifically is going to handle it with BI ("20 PPG/Go to guy"), but Ingram has not improved.

I guess you could pair JR/JC on the 2nd unit with Hart/Ennis/Bogut to help them defensively....but Ingram doesn't deserve to start at this point unfortunately.

Kuzma is gonna be featured like Kobe Bryant. 40 minutes a game taking a lot of shots. Focus of the offense. Goto guy down the stretch 2 minutes with game on the line. Goto guy for potential game winning shot. Mr. CLUTCH!!

Savior of the franchise!! He will be THE ONE!!

To be clear, I don't think we "broke" him. I think he'll be great, actually. I just worry he might be pushing training too hard and losing his energy on the court.

If I'm luke, I tell Ingram to ignore what magic said and try to be defensive first team this year. Let the offense come later.

considering how bad we have been at developing players for several years....Kuzma should probably just not listen to anything the staff says

Yep. Ingram trying to be a 20 ppg scorer has been the biggest mistake of this pre-season.

20 year old 20 ppg potential scorers don't grow on trees.

Stick to whoever taught him the fundamentals. I have big doubts about Lakers when it comes to development.

It looks like Clarkson has regressed greatly at point guard. The offense was always in a bad spot with him running it. I'd much rather see Caruso or Ennis in that spot.

He can develop his jumpshot off the bench. We need to be winning games. No more time for training once regular season starts. If he plays like he has been today and throughout the preseason, we can count on beating like 4 teams out of the 30 teams in this league.

Props to Josh Hart, BTW. He was working hard on D. Still got caught up in traffic a couple times, but he went over screens well and battled against wily Vince Carter.
