I actually like how Julius is overpowering the bench players with his strength, he being in the starting lineup will stop the ball movement which was delightful to see the last two games, I like the current starting lineup. You can call me a Julius hater but he really doesn't move the ball well.

Nance and Kuzma should start over “bull in a china shop” Randle.

Eh, Randle is much more under control now. I mean not ballerina in china shop control yet but getting there

I like a starting lineup of Lonzo, KCP, Kuz, Randle and Lopez. Even if Randle occasionally ball-stops, he at least has an opportunity to make things happen off the dribble with all the shooters surrounding him. I'll take Randle creating for himself and others off the dribble over BI doing the same, which has been disastrous so far.

Because he's Luke Walton.

And it’s preseason

And Gobert was a huge mismatch for Jules. "Death" lineups really stink when they go stale.

Not to fault Jules, he played an excellent game. But sticking with him at 5 instead of 4, regardless of the matchup and how that matchup is going?? Randle can't just grow 4 inches taller and get 7 inch longer arms like Stretch Armstrong out there. We've got Lopez ffs.

Jules at 4, Kuzma at 3, and Lopez in the middle? Would have been nice to see THAT lineup at the end.

Yeah except Luke undoes the "alright Gobert is a mismatch for Randle let me get Lopez in" smart move with the "and lets bench Randle and move Ingram whose obviously cold and off rhythm to the 4 and make him our go to guy down the stretch while he doesn't pass to Kuzma whom is open."

Luke is a 2 steps forward, 4 steps back kind of coach sometimes. More times than not, and it's starting to wear thin when people that don't get paid to do what he does can see and point out things he either can't, or just refuses to do.

There’s a reason those people don’t get paid to do what he does.

Randle has outplayed both but why bother with actually watching the games

Kuzma and Randle have played well but Kuzma has played better than Randle. Nance just starting to play decent the past 2 games (awful prior)

Kuzma has outplayed Randle since he has been on the team?

Nance has out preformed Randle for two years.
Randle had a nice preaseason but the last two games Nance has been good and I expect Nance to have his 3rd straight season putting up better stats than Randle.

Nance played well because he's actually the power forward and not the center now, which is the case for the past few games. There are a lot of little things Nance does that you guys don't appreciate. If Randle has half of Nance's ability to do those small things then I'll be a happy fan.

I agree that Kuzma is the overall best forward on the team. However the last couple of games I've been impressed with Randle. He's actually been under control, and has stopped throwing himself wildly towards the rim against bigger defenders. Maybe Clarkson can learn to do the same. Bone headed low IQ plays that disrupt momentum and lead to bad shots are killers for this team. When Randle is under control hitting the boards, playing defense, and hitting shots when available he's a great asset. Very few forwards can dribble as fast as Randle in the open court.

I have watched all the games and Kuzma is surely outplaying Randle. Not Nance though, but Nance is still more consistent on D. Randle has improved a great deal though and I like that. Much better than he was last season.

Its not such a dig at Randle as it is Kuzma just being an amazingly gifted player. Kuzma is probably the best player on our team now.

Nance doesn't have the bulk to bang against bigger 5 the way Randle can but Randle just has played better than Nance overall this preseason. Even Randle's defense has improved

Uhm...it's preseason folks. Playing around with lineups is what you do.

Specifically, what little things has Nance been doing that Randle hasn't this preseason?

Might be tough to start 6 players. I’m like 90% sure we can only play 5 at a time. Don’t quote me on that though

Kuzma has scored better but Randle has defended better, rebounded better and set guys up better. I guess it depends on if you are enamored with scoring or more all around play. Overall so far, they have looked good on the floor together, they seem to look to set each other up.

I'm not sure how people think Luke and staff should be using this time. There's a lot for them to do, a lot to learn, and a lot to look at in a very short period of time.

If Luke starts Blue, Deng, and Bogut next game, we should all be cheering. Because we need to actually see what all these players can do and how they can succeed in different combinations.

We will have to continue to agree to disagree on Randle's defense. Agree that Randle is a better rebounder but disagree that Randle is a better defender.
